Welcome to the live results blog for UFC 275: Teixeira vs Prochazka PPV event live from Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.

Light Heavyweight title fight will headline the event with Glover Teixeira making his first title defense since winning it from Jan Blanchowicz at UFC 267. Teixeira remains unbeaten since the start of 2019 and has picked up 6 wins in total to become a champion.

Prochazka has had just two fights in UFC Career where he had beaten Volkan Oezdemir and Dominik Reyes via second-round KO. However, he remains in the last 12 MMA bouts starting from 2016. This also involves winning the inaugural Rizin Light Heavyweight title and successfully defending it before heading to UFC. Which fighters winning streak will come to an end here?

Valentina Shevchenko would look to continue her reign as the queen of the flyweight division as she faces Talia Santos. Santos rose as a title contender with 4 back to back wins, last defeating Joanne Wood in November 2021. Shevchenko has dispatched every opponent since she won the vacant flyweight title against Joanna Jędrzejczyk in December 2018.

Joanna Jędrzejczyk will also be on the card as she faces Zhang Weili for the second time in a row. Weili was able to defend the strawweight title successfully against Jędrzejczyk when they fought at UFC 248 in March 2020. Weili has since lost the title to Rosa Namajunas while also losing the rematch. Jędrzejczyk has remained inactive since losing to Weili.

Two welterweight bouts in Jake Matthews vs André Fialho and Jack Della Maddalena vs Ramazan Emeev completes the main card. Jack Della Maddalena vs Ramazan Emeev – Welterweight bout

Round 1: Emeev sneaks in a couple of jabs in the first 30 seconds. Jack hits a body punch and Emeev counters with a punch to the head. Emeev goes for single-leg takedown. Jack counters but Emeev manages to put on a choke. They get back on their feet but Emeev still has the front headlock on. Emeev takes Jack down once again and this time, he has a good grip on that choke. Jack somehow manages to come out of it and get back to his feet. Jack nails Emeev with a good combo. He follows up with more quick punches now. Emeev is not able to answer them and is down on his knees after a body shot. Jack continues to nail him with more shots to the head. The referee steps in to stop it.

Official Decision: Jack Della Maddalena wins via TKO at 2:32 in round 1.

Andre Fialho vs Jake Matthews – Welterweight Bout

Round 1: Mathews tries to remain out of reach and pins a calf kick. Fialho hits back with his calf kick after a few seconds. Mathews nails a big punch as Fialho charges in. He follows up with a high kick. Mathews continues to pick his spots to sneak in kicks and punches. Fialho lands a kick on the ribs before Mathews pushes him back with another good punch. Fialho lands a couple of punches in the final minute but Mathews replies with more good shots. They exchange a flurry of strikes and Mathews was once again the better of the two. With 5 seconds left, a shot from Fialho leads to Mathews slipping. The bell rings before Fialho could follow up.

Round 2: Both men are taking their time to figure out their strategy. As the first minute is coming to an end, Mathews lands 3-4 big uppercuts and overhead right in a matter of 20 seconds or so to shock Fialho. Fialho is trying to escape those shots and remains out of reach for the next 15-20 seconds. Fialho nails a shot back. Mathews nails him with a good left hook and follows up with combo at body and head. Fialho is down for good now.

Official Decision: Jake Mathews wins via KO at 2:24 in round 2.

Zhang Weili vs Joanna Jedrzejczy – Women’s Strawweight Bout

Round 1: Both women are maintaining their distance. Joanna lands a calf kick and Weili replies with an overhead right in response. They go for an exchange. Joanna’s shot leads to Weili slipping. Joanna lands more shots. Weili manages a takedown and pins Joanna against the cage to land more shots to head. Joanna is back to her feet but Weili is on her back with a waistlock. Joanna tries to take it to the middle and Weili is still on her back, nailing her with punches to the head. Joanna is trying her best to block shots. They are back to their feet but Weilli manages another takedown quickly. Weili puts on the half guard and manages to get some more good punches in. She nails in massive elbows to the face. They are back to their feet with 30 seconds left. Weili decks her with another punch. Jedrzejczy goes for a high kick but Weili catches her leg for a single-leg takedown.

Round 2: Weili sneaks in another punch as the round starts. She is able to nail body kicks. Joanna hits a good punch. More back and forth action in this round, unlike the first one. Weili nails a back fist on the neck to floor Joanna for good.

Official Decision: Zhang Weili wins via KO at 2:20 in round 2.

Valentina Shevchenko(c) vs Taila Santos – Women’s Flyweight Title Bout

Round 1: Shevchenko is in a southpaw stance. Both women are being cautious. Santos gets a good overhead left as the first meaningful strike after 40 seconds. Shevchenko goes for a spinning kick but Santos avoids it. Santos charges but Shevchenko ducks her shots. They end up in a clinch near the cage. Shevchenko is in control and has pinned Santos against the cage. She nails a few knees to the body. Shevchenko slips as she goes for a takedown. Santos puts her in a rear-naked choke. Shevchenko is working hard to get out of the choke. Santos also has the body triangle on. Shevchenko hits a few punches on her hands to force her to lose the grip. Neither women are in complete control. Shevchenko continues to hit punches and Santos is working to get in the choke.

Round 2: Shevchenko goes for punches and spinning kicks but Santos avoids them. They end up in a clinch again but Santos is the one pinning Shevchenko on the cage. Shevchenko is trying to get her off. Santos manages a takedown. Shevchenko goes for an arm-triangle choke but Santos quickly shrugs it off. Santos is still in half guard as both women continue to struggle for control. The referee calls for a break and they both are up on their feet. After an exchange, Shevchenko manages a takedown but Santos reverses it and is in half guard again.

Round 3: Santos does not have her mouth guard on and the referee pauses the round after 10 seconds. Both women hits low kicks. Shevchenko finally connects a spinning kick. Shevchenko gets a takedown but Santos gets back up immediately. Santos is trying to work on counter it seems. Shevchenko hits inside kicks. Santos puts her against the cage in a clinch. She manages a takedown after a few seconds and is on Shevchenko’s back. After some struggle, she manages to get on a rear-naked choke. It is locked on the mouth though instead of throat and hence is not that effective. The round ends with Santos still locked in.

Round 4: Valentina hits a jab and a calf kick. They exchange shots. A clash of heads in round 3 has swelled Santos’s eyes. Shevchenko nails a hard kick to the top half. The referee pauses the bout due to a groin strike. The bout resumes and Shevchenko is now focusing her attack on the left side mostly with body kicks. Shevchenko hits a nice combo. The fight has settled in a back and forth pattern but Shevchenko is looking better. Santos avoids a right hand and manages another takedown near the end of the round.

Round 5: Valentina connects a combo. Santos hits a front kick. Valentina goes for another combo. Santos goes for a takedown. Valentina tries to counter it but Santos gets the controlling position. She puts on a headlock from the back. Valentina gets back to her feet. Valentina gets a takedown now, but could not hurt Santos much. Santos is trying to attack the back of the neck while Valentina is hitting her punches on head and shoulder from the top. Valentina spends the rest of the round on the top.

Official Decision: Valentina Shevchenko wins via split decision(48-47, 47-48, 49-46) to retain Women’s Flyweight title.

Glover Teixeira(c) vs Jiri Prochazka – Light Heavyweight Title Bout

Round 1: Glover hits a combo at body and head. Teixeira completes a single-leg takedown. He has Jiri on his back and is trying to nail his elbows to the face. Jiri tries to get back but gives Glover the chance to get on his back. Jiri uses the cage to get out up form his back. He jumps with a punch but could not get connect. Glover fails in single-leg attempt but gets it on the second attempt. Jiri is on his back once again. Glover continues to nail punches and elbows. Jiri gets on his feet but Glover is on his back. Glover goes for a kimura from that position. Jiri manages to get back up and Glover is down on the floor. Jiri pounds him with punches as the round comes to an end.

Round 2: The referee pauses the round just as they begun, and asked Jiri is he is ok to continue. Jiri reaches out with a jab after 30 seconds. Shots fired from both sides. Jiri is keeping his distance. Jiri nails a jab as he tries to counter. Teixeira defends a jumping knee but Jiri nails him with more shots in the follow-up. Glover slows him down with a single-leg attempt. More good work from Jiri. Glover is on the backfoot. Jiri is nailing him with punches at will. Jiri slips suddenly and Glover is on his back again and is working with punches. Jiri gets on his back now. Glover is on top of him with more shots. Glover gets on the ground and pound position, but Jiri is saved by the bell.

Round 3: Both men are cut before they start this round. Jiri goes for a high kick early. He hits a right and knee. Glover slips now but Jiri decides against going down to him. Jiri hits a double jab. Jiri is in control of the bout now. He nails more shots and Glover goes for a single-leg to slow him down. Glover slips once again. Jiri goes for a knee but Glover catches it and brings him down. Jiri gets up and pushes Glover to the cage. Jiri hits a big shot at the ribs. He nails more body shots and a knee. Glover is down on his back and Jiri pounds on him from half guard. Jiri putson D’Arce choke. Glover turns him over though. Glover now nails Prochazka with his shots from the half gaurd. Glover defends an arm triangle attempt.

Round 4: Glover goes for jab and high kick. Prochazka decks him with more shots in return. Teixeira manages to take him down once again. He is in control at the top now. Teixeira takes his time to get in ground and pound position and nails some shots. Prochazka tries to get him close to his body to stop punches. Glover nails elbows and punches on the side of face before putting on D’Arce choke. Jiri comes out of it and turns Glover to his back. Jiri nails him with shots now. Glover tries to get to his back and is successfully in doing so. Jiri revereses it again and is on top to end the round.

Round 5: Prochazka manages a takedown and hits Glover with his shots. Back on their feet, shots from both sides. Glover’s shots are more effective though. Jiri blocks a single-leg. Glover hits a big right. Glover nails more big rights. Jiri is trying to shake them off. Glover goes for another takedown and in complete control on the top. Jiri uses the cage to get back on the top. He nails his shots on the back of the head. Jiri puts on the Rear-Naked choke with just 30 seconds left. Glover taps out.

Official Decision: Jiri Prochazka wins via submission at 4:32 in round 5 to win the Light Heavyweight Championship.
