Bist, Sahota, Sharma Among 5 Indian Fighters on Road to UFC Season 3
5 Indian Fighters are set to be part of Road to UFC Season 3.
Road to UFC features tournaments for UFC’s hunt for new faces from Asia region. Season 3 will start in May with first round of matches taking place on May 18 and May 19 at UFC Performance Institute in Shanghai, China. Tournaments in men’s flyweight, men’s bantamweight, women’s flyweight and women’s strawweight weight categories will be taking place this year under the series.
The winner of the 8-person knockout tournaments from each weight category get a contract with UFC. This year, 5 Indian Fighters have confirmed their participation for this season so far. These fighters are as below:
- Angad Bist(9-3) – Men’s Flyweight – MFN Flyweight Champion
- Kiru Singh Sahota(10-2) – Men’s Flyweight – Competed at Cage Warriors 151
- Kantharaj Agasa(12-3) – Bantamweight – Had 2 fights in ONE Championship
- Priya Sharma(5-1) – Women’s Strawweight
- Kiran Singh(5-3) – Women’s Strawweight
