IMPACT Wrestling President Scott D’Amore will team up with PCO to face Bully Ray and Steve Maclin at Impact Slammiversary 2023 PPV event.
During the June 15 episode of IMPACT Wrestling, Bully Ray came out to the ring and claimed that unjustified violence was inflicted upon him by Scott D’Amore during Against All Odds event. D’Amore interfered during 8-4-1 match at the event, leading to Nick Aldis winning that match and becoming the #1 contender for IMPACT World Championship.
Bully also added that he has sent the letter for his justice to higher-ups of Anthem but he has not got any answer. D’Amore then came out to reveal that he had a meeting with Anthem Board had advised him to take a leave from his role as President of IMPACT Wrestling. With his job in peril, D’Amore started hurling abuses toward Bullly.
This was followed by D’Amore starting a brawl with heavy punches at Bully. Steve Maclin ran out made to aid Bully and together they trashed Scott with the help of a chair. PCO then came out to save D’Amore and successfully sent Bully and Maclin to the outside. Scott then booked himself and PCO to face Bully Ray and Steve Maclin on Slammiversary card.
The rivalry between Bully and D’Amore is long and old. Bully put D’Amore through a table in January this year which resulted in D’Amore being sidelined for more than two months. He returned at Sacrifice and brought out a bunch of wrestlers to save Tommy Dreamer from an assault from Bully and the Good Hands.
D’Amore was put through a burning table by Bully and Maclin at Under Siege event last month after Maclin managed to retain IMPACT World Championship against PCO. D’Amore then took revenge by costing Bully the #1 contender match at Against All Odds.
IMPACT Slammiversary 2023 is set to take place in Windsor, Canada on July 15. IMPACT World title match between Alex Shelley and Nick Aldis is announced for the show along with a clash between Trinity and Deonna Purrazzo for knockouts title.
