Trick Williams Wins NXT North American Title at NXT No Mercy 2023
Trick Williams defeated Dominik Mysterio to become the new North American Champion at NXT No Mercy 2023 PPV event.
The bout commenced as Dominik hit a dropkick while the special guest referee Dragon Lee was putting away the title. Throughout the match, Dominik was struggling but kept coming back with some moments of his own.
The main moment in the match occurred when both wrestlers collided with a clothesline, taking each other down. Following this, Dominik delivered a 619 to the back of Williams’ head. Dominik then prepared to execute a superkick, but Williams dodged it and it ended up hitting Dragon Lee down to the floor

Subsequently, a new referee entered the ring, but he was also taken down by Dominik as well. In the closing moments, Williams managed to connect with a successful kumping knee, and Dragon Lee crawled into the ring to count for the pinfall.
Williams’ victory marked his inaugural singles title win in WWE. Notably, it was also Dominik’s second title defense where there were no Judgment Day members present outside the ring.
Dominik won the title by defeating Wes Lee in July, and since then, he has successfully defended it a total of five times on all 3 brands of WWE – RAW, Smackdown and NXT.
Trick Williams got the title opportunity by defeating Dragon Lee, Axiom, and Tyler Bate in a fatal 4-way match on NXT September 26 episode.
