In the match, Charlotte Flair emerged victorious against Bayley. Following the match, a confrontation ensued involving Bayley, Sky, and Dakota Kai attempting to attack Flair.

However, Asuka came to Flair’s aid and started screaming something in Japanese. Bayley thought Asuka was asking for a triple threat match and announced that Iyo Sky would defend her title against Flair and Asuka at Fastlane. Later on, WWE made the match official.
Sky defended her title last on the September 22 episode of SmackDown where she defeated Asuka.
A feud has been ongoing involving Sky, Asuka, and Flair since the SummerSlam 2023 PPV event. This feud began when Sky used her Money In the Bank contract to cash in on Bianca Belair and win the title.
WWE Fastlane 2023 PLE is scheduled for October 7, 2023, and it will be live from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN. John Cena is also set for the event where he and LA Knight will face The Bloodline.
