Rhea Ripley & Dominik vs Lee & Valkyria Set for NXT Heatwave

Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio will face Dragon Lee and Lyra Valkyria in a mixed tag team match at NXT 2023 Heatwave event.

During the August 8 episode of NXT, Dominik Mysterio successfully retained his NXT North American title against Dragon Lee. Following the match, Valkyria launched an attack on Rhea Ripley, who was there at ringside during the bout.

During the August 15 episode of NXT, Ripley and Dominik Mysterio were seen backstage, where Ripley challenged Lee and Valkyria in a mixed tag team match.

Later in the show, Valkyria and Lee had a backstage meeting where they mutually decided on the match for NXT Heatwave. Subsequently, NXT officially confirmed the match at a later point.

During the July 25 episode of NXT, Rhea Ripley defeated Lyra Valkyria in a one-on-one match. Rhea Ripley also defeated Indi Hartwell in a singles match on August 14 episode of RAW.

WWE NXT Heatwave is scheduled for August 22, 2023, at WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Baron Corbin is also scheduled for the event, where he will face Von Wagner.
