Von Wagner vs Baron Corbin Set for NXT Heatwave on August 22

Von Wagner will clash in a one-on-one match with Baron Corbin at NXT Heatwave 2023 event.

During the August 15 episode of NXT,  Baron Corbin talked about his bout against Gable Steveson and mocked the entire NXT roster with his comments. In response, Wagner and Mr. Stone entered the ring.

A clash of words took place between Wagner and Corbin, during which Wagner proposed resolving the issue at the NXT Heatwave event. Following this altercation, Corbin and Wagner engaged in a fight. Wagner attempted to put Corbin through a table, but his attempt was unsuccessful.

Following that, security staff interfered to put a stop to the confrontation involving Wagner and Corbin. Afterward, NXT officially announced the match for the upcoming NXT Heatwave event.

During the August 8 episode of NXT, Von Wagner was defeated by Bron Breakker in a one-on-one match, whereas Corbin defeated Andre Chase in the August 1 episode of NXT.

During the August 15 episode of NXT’s Backstage, Bron Breakker was seen alongside Corbin, mentioning that he would be closely observing the match.

WWE NXT Heatwave is scheduled for August 22, 2023, at WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Trick Williams will also clash with Ilja Dragunov in a one-on-one match at the event.
