Jon Moxley v Adam Page Texas DeathMatch Set for AEW Revolution 2023
Jon Moxley and Adam Page will face-off for the fourth time in AEW as they will clash in a Texas DeathMatch at AEW Revolution 2023 PPV.
This match was agreed during this week’s AEW Dynamite. Page defeated Kip Sabian in a singles match on Dynamite. Moxley came out with his stablemates Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta to confront Page after his repeat callouts.
Moxley told Page that they do not have any unfinished business between them. Page replied that he is unhappy with the finish of their third match where Moxley got the pinfall via roll-up. Moxley taunted Page of not having any friends who could put some sense into him and talk him out of this match. This brought out Dark Order’s Evil Uno, John Silver and Alex Reynolds.
Despite Page asking them not to get involved, Uno got into Moxley’s face and told him how they are backing up Hangman for the past two years now. Moxley got more enraged as Uno continued to run his mouth. At the end, Moxley said there would be a Texas DeathMatch at Revolution 2023 event.
The feud between them started in October 2022 when Jon Moxley held AEW World Championship while Page became the #1 contender. During their match on October 18, 2022, episode of Dynamite, Page got a concussion after a lariat from Moxley, leading to a referee’s stoppage finish.
Page spent the next two months on the sidelines before he was cleared and defeated Moxley in a rematch on January 11, 2023 episode of Dynamite. Page once again challenged Moxley on February 1 episode of Dynamite on Ohio, where turned around a late rally by Page to roll him up and get the three count for the win.
Last week, Page was distraught with the outcome of the trilogy bout and more disappointed in the manner of the loss, which brought us to this week’s confrontation.
AEW Revolution 2023 PPV is scheduled for March 5, 2023, and this match is just one of the four matches to be confirmed for the show so far. The event is expected to be headlined by a 60-minute ironman match for AEW World Championship between MJF and Bryan Danielson.
