Damian Priest and Finn Balor of Judgment Day will defend their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes at WWE Fastlane 2023 PPV event.
On the October 3 episode of RAW, the show began with an intense moment when Rhea Ripley expressed her frustration with her fellow stablemates, leading her to call Judgment Day into the ring.
Ripley informed Damian Priest that she had been absent for a period of two weeks, during which she designated him as the leader. She also brought up the fact that Dominik had lost the title at NXT No Mercy 2023 PLE because of Priest and Balor.
Later on, Jey found himself in a confrontation with Priest, as he was scheduled to go up against him. However, Ripley pointed out that Priest hadn’t received medical clearance. Priest was about to go after Jey, but Dominik intervened, stating that he would handle Jey for Rhea Ripley.
Afterward, JD McDonagh arrived, and he, along with Dominik, launched an attack on Jey. Priest appeared to be heading to join McDonagh and Dominik, but Rhodes intervened and and helped him to clear the ring.
Following this, Adam Pearce came forward and officially announced that Damian Priest and Finn Balor would defend their title at Fastlane against Jey and Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes is in a long-standing feud with Judgment Day. Jey was approached by the stable to join them after he moved to RAW. Upon his refusal, Judgment Day has targeted Jey since. also becoming part of this ongoing rivalry. Rhodes consistently comes to Jey’s aid whenever Judgment Day attacked him.
Balor and Priest last defended their title at September 25 episode of RAW, where they defeated Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
WWE Fastlane 2023 PLE is scheduled for October 7, 2023, and it will be live from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN. Women’s Championship bout is also set for the event, where Iyo Sky, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka will face each other in a triple-threat match.
