Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar II Set for WWE Night of Champions 2023
WWE Backlash rematch between Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes is set for WWE Night of Champions 2023.
On the May 8 episode of Raw, Brock Lesnar cost Cody the triple threat World Heavyweight Championship qualifier match as he attacked him once again. After attacking Cody, he challenged the American Nightmare to a “Fight” at WWE Night of Champions 2023.
Later the same night Cody responded by saying he broke Brock’s monopoly of the main event scene as he’s been the guy ever since he made his return to WWE. Rhodes then went on to accept Lesnar’s challenge.
These two clashed for the first time at WWE Backlash 2023 where Cody attacked Lesnar even before the match began. However, Brock soon gained control of the match and dominated Cody. Brock’s head was also busted open when he hit his head at the exposed turnbuckle.
In the ending moments, Brock put Cody in the Kimura lock and the latter pinned while being in the submission move and won the bloody battle.
It goes without saying that Brock didn’t like the way he lost, and now the Beast is set to face the American Nightmare again at WWE Night of Champions on May 27 in Saudi Arabia.
