Cody Rhodes Challenge For Backlash 2023, Brock Lesnar to Respond on RAW Next Week
Cody Rhodes has challenged Brock Lesnar for a match at WWE Backlash 2023 event.
Brock Lesnar turned on Cody Rhodes and attacked him last week on RAW when they were supposed to be a tag team against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. Lesnar went on to beat Cody all around the ring for a while to close the show.
Cody was at RAW this week where he talked about how he has no clear topic to talk for the first time since he returned to WWE. His promo then went towards how he lost to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 and followed by addressing the attack from Brock Lesnar. Cody speculated that Lesnar is unsure of his position in WWE after Cody changed things in WWE.
Cody went on to say that Lesnar saw his every opponent as a victim both in WWE and UFC, and he also sees Cody as a victim too. But, Cody warned Lesnar that he is the prey in this case and Cody is the Hunter. He then went on to challenge Lesnar for a match at Backlash 2023 event.
Later, WWE confirmed that Brock will appear on WWE RAW next week on April 17 episode to respond to Cody’s challenge. The show that week is set to take place at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock, AR.
WWE Backlash 2023 is set to take place on May 6 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. No match has been made official for the event so far. Keep tuned in for more news and updates.
