AEW WrestleDream 2023: Wheeler Yuta vs Ricky Starks Announced
Wheeler Yuta and Ricky Starks are set to clash in a one-on-one match at AEW WrestleDream 2023 PPV event.
During September 27 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW aired a footage of confrontation between Ricky Starks and Wheeler Yuta after Saturday’s Collision episode. Starks lost to Bryan Danielson in a last man standing match on that night.
Yuta told Starks that he was weaker than him as Yuta get hit by Blackpool Combat Club by the same thing everyday in training, but he still get up, but Starks was counted out. Starks then challenged Yuta for a match to show him how tough he is. Yuta agreed to the challenge. AEW officially confirmed this match.

Starks has been also engaged in a feud with BCC’s Bryan Danielson, which started at the start of this month with Danielson facing and beating Starks in a strap match at All Out. Danielson tried to recruit Starks to BCC, but his efforts were thwarted by Big Bill.
Starks pinned Danielson in a tag team match on September 15 Collision episode, leading to a rematch. Bryan then defeated Stark in a Texas Deathmatch on September 23 episode of AEW Collision.
Yuta’s last match was at AEW All Out 2023 PPV event where he and Claudio Castagnoli were defeated by Eddie Kingston and Katsuyori Shibata.
AEW WrestleDream 2023 PPV event is scheduled for October 1, 2023, at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA. TBS title bout is also set for the event where Kris Statlander will face Julia Hart.
