WWE SmackDown September 29, 2023 episode will feature United States Championship match as the build-up for Fastlane 2023 PLE continues.

Charlotte Flair will take on Bayley in a singles match. Bobby Lashley joins The Grayson Waller Effect talk show segment. Rey Mysterio defends US title against Santos Escobar. Also, expect to see the fallout of John Cena vs Bloodline storyline. Check below for a preview and match card for WWE SmackDown September 29, 2023.

United States Championship Match

Two stablemates from LWO – Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar are set to clash with Mysterio’s United States Championship on the line. Mysterio won the title from Austin Theory after replacing an injured Escobar in the match. Will Escobar reach his destiny and beat Mysterio? Or will Mysterio retain the title over his protege?

Bayley vs Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair’s rivalry with Damage CTRL will continue as she collides with an old foe in Bayley. Last week, Flair attacked Bayley when she tried to interfere in Iyo Sky vs Asuka match. The scuffle between Flair and Bayley did result in a distraction which cost Asuka the match. Will Asuka try to hit back?

How will John Cena Respond to Bloodline?

John Cena lost his tag team partner AJ Styles last week via injury to face the Bloodline. However, that was not all. Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa beat up Cena to their heart’s content. Cena is still set to clash with them at Fastlane which is set to be a handicap match for now. Will Cena find a new partner in the meantime or will decide to go handicap still?

LA Knight is expected to return and resumes the plan WWE had in place for him to team up with John Cena. Will it be the cast though?

Lashley on Grayson Waller Effect!

The Street Profits hesitated in capitalizing on the interference from Bobby Lashley. That ultimately ended up costing the match as Rey Mysterio countered with a sunset flip to get the pinfall. Lashley was pissed at The Profits to not jump on his queue. Grayson Waller is set to host Bobby Lashley on his talkshow. Will Waller be able to get Lashley’s feelings out?
