CM Punk Returns, Flair vs Asuka Set for WWE SmackDown December 8

CM Punk is set to make an appearance on WWE SmackDown December 8, 2023 Tribute to the Troops special episode.

Punk appeared at Survivor Series in Chicago last Saturday and has since also appeared at Monday Night RAW where he said he is home in WWE after 10 years. Now, WWE has announced his appearance for SmackDown also.

It has been reported by wrestling media outlets that Punk is expected to be a free agent but will be making more appearances on RAW with just occasional returns to SmackDown. This seems to be one of those times.

Apart from this, WWE has also announced 3 matches for Tribute to the Troops TV special episode. Charlotte Flair will take on Asuka in a singles match. They are feuding as part of Damage CTRL vs Team Bianca rivalry for the last month since Asuka turned on Flair and Bianca during a tag team match.

The other two matches will be from United States Tournament to crown a new #1 contender for the reigning champion Logan Paul. 8 wrestlers are revealed for the knockout tournament, but only 4 will be in action next week.

Karrion Kross will return to Smackdown after a while as he faces Bobby Lashley in the first round. Dragon Lee and Santos Escobar will continue their rivalry in a rematch from Survivor Series.

WWE SmackDown’s Tribute to the Troops special on December 8, 2023, will air from Amica Mutal Pavilion in Providence, RI. The announced line-up for the show is as below:
