Women’s Title Match Added to ROH Final Battle 2023 Card

Billie Starkz will challenge Athena for ROH Women’s Championship at Final Battle 2023, while Datlon Castle and Komander have also qualified for a place on the card.

Starkz and Athena have been tag team partners for the last few months now, but things turned sour between them during Minior Training Graduation Ceremony this week on ROH on Honor Club episode. Athena chose to graduate presenter Lexi Nair, but Starkz strongly felt that she also deserved to graduate after a win over Marina Shafir last week.

Athena told her to not step on Nair’s moment. As they all left the ring and Athena asked Starkz to pose with her on the ramp, Starkz snapped and threw her into the barricade. Later in the show, Starkz directly asked Tony Khan for the title match against Athena, claiming that she was ready to challenge Athena.

Khan pointed out that Starkz had won 9 straight singles matches in ROH and announced that she would challenge Athena at Final Battle event.

Final Battle will also feature Survival of the Fittest 6-way match to crown the new ROH TV Champion. Dalton Castle qualified for the said match by beating Evil Uno. Komander defeated Gringo Loco to qualify.

ROH Final Battle 2023 event takes place on December 15 in Garland, TX. The updated card for the show is as below:

  • Athena(c) vs Billie Starkz – ROH Women’s Championship
  • Dalton Castle vs Komander vs 4 more competitor – Survival of the Fittest match for ROH TV Championship
