AEW Collision September 23: Texas Death Match, Tag Team Title Bout & More Set

AEW has announced three matches and a segment for September 23, 2023, episode of AEW Collision, including Texas Death Match and AEW World Tag Team Title match.
Ricky Starks will face Bryan Danielson in a Texas Death Match on the September 23 episode of AEW Collision. During the September 16 episode of AEW Collision, Starks and Big Bill defeated Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli.
After the match, in a backstage promo, Starks challenged Danielson to a Texas Deathmatch. Later on, AEW officially made the bout official. Starks had previously faced Danielson and was defeated in a strap match at the AEW All Out 2023 PPV event.

Jay White is also set to appear on September 23 episode of AEW Collision, where he will go up against Andrade El Idolo. This match was arranged during the September 16 episode of AEW Collision, when Andrade secured a victory over Scorpio Sky.
Following the match, Jay White, accompanied by Bullet Club Gold, appeared and issued a challenge to Andrade for the next week’s episode of AEW Collision.

Rob Van Dam is also set to return on next week’s episode of AEW Collision in his home state of Michigan. His most recent appearance was on the August 9 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he faced Jack Perry and was defeated.
FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) are also set for next week’s episode of AEW Collision, where they will defend their AEW Tag Team title against The WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry and JD Drake).
The WorkHorsemen accepted FTR’s open challenge following FTR’s victory over the Iron Savages (Boulder and Bronson) on the September 16 episode of AEW Collision.
FTR is also set for AEW WrestleDream 2023 PPV event, where they will defend their AEW Tag Team title against Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis). September 23, 2023, episode of AEW Collision will be live from Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, MI.
