FTR vs Aussie Open AEW Tag Title Match Set for WrestleDream 2023
FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) will defend their AEW World Tag Team title against Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis) at AEW WrestleDream 2023 event.
During the September 16 episode of AEW Collision, Aussie Open defeated Enhancement Talents in a tag team match. After the match, Aussie Open issued a challenge to FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) to face them at AEW WrestleDream event for AEW Tag Team titles.
Aussie Open mentioned how they have held tag team gold everywhere they have been, and also felt confident that they can capture the titles from FTR in a matter of minutes.

During the same episode, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) defeated Iron Savages (Bronson and Boulder) to retain the AEW Tag Team titles. This was part of their plan to provide title opportunities to new tag teams.
These two teams had a previous encounter at NJPW Royal Quest event on October 1, 2022, where FTR emerged victorious to retain IWGP Tag Team Championship. Both teams have previously held IWGP and ROH Tag titles. Aussie Open also held NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team titles while FTR are former NXT, RAW and SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
AEW WrestleDream 2023 PPV event is scheduled for October 1, 2023, at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA. Bryan Danielson is also set for the event where he will face Zack Sabre Jr.
