Following the match, members of The House of Black personally presented the championship titles to the newly crowned AEW World Trios Tag Team Champions. Afterward, Gunn and The Acclaimed celebrated the victory with their scissor party.
On the July 22 episode of AEW Collision, The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn competed against the House of Black for the AEW Trios Championship. Following their defeat, Billy Gunn left his shoes in the center of the ring as a symbolic gesture of his retirement. House of Black stole the shoes and burned the.
This prompted Billy Gunn to make his return at August 23 episode of AEW Dynamite and issue a challenge for House of Black on behalf of The Acclaimed, which resulted in a match for the AEW All In event.
