A new report has mentioned six matches that are planned for WWE SummerSlam 2023, featuring the likes of Roman Reigns, Cody Rhoes, Brock Lesnar and others.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio episode, Dave Meltzer discussed potential matches for Summerslam. All these matches were reported based on ongoing feuds and rivalries.

Jey Uso became the first person to pin Roman Reigns after 1293 days when Roman and Solo Sikoa lost the Bloodline Civil War at Money in the Bank against The Usos. Meltzer confirmed that Reigns vs Jey Uso for Undisputed WWE Universal Championship is the match planned for Summerslam.

Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar is long reported for Summerslam. Rhodes had issued an open challenge for Lesnar after a loss at Night of Champions has put them at 1 win a piece. Rhodes challlenged Lesnar one final match during May 29 episode of RAW. It is also reported that stipulation would be brought back after a long time for this match.

Drew McIntyre made his return to WWE after three months for the first time since WrestleMania and attacked Gunther at the Money in the Bank PPV event. There is a high chance they will collide at Ford Field for WWE Intercontinental Championship. Gunther retained IC title at WrestleMania 39 against McIntyre and Sheamus.

Lynch and Stratus’s feud started when they lost the women’s tag team championship. They have already faced each other at the Night of Champions PPV event, where Stratus won the match with the help of Zoey Stark. Their second clash might be headed to WWE’s Summer Party.

Rousey and Baszler were the women’s tag team champions. During the Money in the Bank PPV event, Baszler attacked Rousey, which resulted in Liv Morgan and Raqeul Rodrguez becoming the women’s tag team champions. A clash between Ronda and Shayna is also expected at Summerslam 2023.

Belair lost her RAW Women’s Championship to Asuka at Night of Champions PPV event. She has been looking for a rematch but Charlotte Flair cut the line for a title shot at SmackDown last week. Flair and Asuka faced each other on June 30 episode of SmackDown, but the match ended in disqualification after Belair attacked Asuka and also laid out Flair. This rivalry can be seen continuing at SummerSlam in a triple threat match.

Meltzer has also reported that Logan Paul is also expected to be seen in the SummerSlam 2023. Keep tuned in for more news and updates.
