John Cena Set as WWE Payback Host, Downs Jimmy Uso on Sept 1 SmackDown
John Cena has announced his presence as the host for Payback 2023 PLE.
During the September 1 episode of SmackDown, John Cena started the show by expressing his gratitude to the WWE Universe for their support throughout his 20-year career. Cena then mentioned his match at the WWE Superstar Spectacle event, where he said that he would wrestle in India for the first time.
Afterward, Cena was interrupted by Jimmy Uso. Jimmy said again that he turned on his brother Jey Uso at SummerSlam PLE to protect him from being corrupted by Roman Reigns. He went to state that Cena is as corrupt as Reigns with the differen that Cena does his work with a smile.

John Cena then taunted Jimmy by saying that it was the incorrect Uso who had departed from WWE. This was a reference to Jey Uso quitting The Bloodline & WWE two weeks back. This statement prompted Jimmy to attempt a superkick on Cena, but Cena reversed it and executed an Attitude Adjustment on Jimmy.
During the show’s main event, Sikoa was set to face AJ Styles, and towards the end, Jimmy was seen assisting Sikoa in securing the victory in the match. The question that arises now is whether Jimmy has rejoined the Bloodline?
