Carlito vs Santos Escobar Announced for WWE Survivor Series 2023
Carlito will face Santos Escobar in a one-on-one match at WWE Survivor Series 2023 PLE.
During the November 10 episode of SmackDown, Santos Escobar betrayed Rey Mysterio and LWO, turning against them. In the same episode, Escobar launched an attack on Mysterio, causing him to undergo knee surgery. Rey will be out of action for a while, although the exact date of his return has not been confirmed yet.

During November 17 episode of SmackDown, Escobar was scheduled to explain why he betrayed Rey. During the segment, Escobar expressed that he didn’t require Rey’s support and spoke negatively about him. Zelina Vega intervened to stop Escobar, which led to Vega slapping Escobar in response to his actions.
Following that, Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde entered the ring, where Escobar invited them to join his team. However, Toro and Wilde declined Escobar’s offer, leading Escobar to attack them. Carlito intervened, entering the ring to assist Toro and Wilde, causing Escobar to eventually leave the ring.
After the altercation, WWE officially announced that Carlito is set to face Escobar at Survivor Series 2023 PLE. Carlito’s most recent singles match took place on the November 10 episode of SmackDown, where he was defeated by Bobby Lashley.
Survivor Series 2023 is set to take place on November 25, 2023, at Allstate Arena in Chicago. WWE Women’s World Championship match is also set for the event, where Rhea Ripley will face Zoey Stark.
