Cody Rhodes vs Logan Paul Set for WWE King & Queen of The Ring
The main event Undisputed WWE Championship match is announced for WWE King & Queen of the Ring 2024 PLE.
Cody Rhodes is set to defend his Undisputed WWE title against United States Champion Logan Paul. General Manager Nick Aldis announced The match during this week’s SmackDown episode(May 10).
Champion vs Champion at King & Queen of the Ring
Cody Rhodes is coming off his first televised title defense at Backlash 2024 against AJ Styles. That match was rated as a 5-star classic by reputed Wrestling Reporter Dave Meltzer. However, Cody will not get much breathing room as he has already moved onto his next challenger. Nick Aldis opened the show to bring out Cody to tell him the same thing.
Aldis then revealed that United States Champion Logan Paul would be the one to challenge him for the title next at King & Queen of the Ring. Logan claimed himself to be the biggest attraction in WWE as he is the longest reigning current champion having held the title for almost 6 months now. He also talked about having outshined Cody at Royal Rumble 2023 with a spot of the night despite Cody winning the Royal Rumble match and then doing the same at WrestleMania 40 by showing up with IShowSpeed.
Cody replied that Paul was delusional and self centered and had been unable to get through a match without using brass knuckles. Cody claimed that he would show him where he stood when they would clash at King & Queen of the Ring.
Logan Paul & Saudi Arabia Connection
Logan Paul is getting his second shot at Undisputed WWE Championship. Interestlingly, his first title shot also came in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel 2022 where he lost to Roman Reigns.
Logan also got his shot at United States Championship in The Kingdom at Crown Jewel 2023 where he managed to get the title away from Rey Mysterio.
