AEW Collison Sept 2: Starks’ Challenge, Trio Title Bout & More Set

AEW announced a segment and three matches for September 2, 2023, episode of AEW Collision, including the AEW Trio title bout and a six-woman tag team match.

Jay White will face Dax Harwood in a one-on-one match on the September 2 episode of AEW Collison. Dax Harwood and White will also compete at the AEW All Out 2023 PPV event in an 8-man tag team match where FTR and Young Bucks will face Bullet Club Gold.

The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) and Billy Gunn are also scheduled for the September 2 episode of AEW Collison, where they will defend their title against Daniel Garcia Matt Menard, and Angelo Parker.

The upcoming match will serve as the first title defense for The Acclaimed and Gunn, who secured the title by defeating House of Blacks at the AEW All In 2023 PPV event.

During the August 30 episode of AEW Dynamite, The Acclaimed also revealed their custom-designed belts for the AEW Trios Championship, with the design being inspired by their theme of scissors.

The Outcast (Saraya, Ruby Soho, and Toni Storm) are also scheduled for the next AEW Collision episode, where they will face Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, and Kris Statlander in a six-woman tag team match.

Saraya won the AEW Women’s Championship at AEW All in the 2023 PPV event by defeating Shida, Storm, and Baker in a fatal 4-way match. Also during the match, a confrontation was seen between the Outcast members. It will be very interesting to see how they handle the situation.

During the August 30 episode of AEW Dynamite, Shida, Statlander, and Baker defeated Nyla Rose, Emi Sakura, and Marina Shafir.

Toni Khan also announced that Ricky Starks is also set for the next Collision episode, where he is set to challenge Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat to a Strap Match at the upcoming AEW All Out event. Starks hit Steamboat with a belt on August 5 Collision episode where Steamboat was the special guest referee in Starks’ match against CM Punk.

Starks lost the match when Punk was able to catch him with a pinfall using leverage and Steamboat failed to catch Punk’s tactics. Starks was suspended from in-ring action for 28 days. The suspension will be completed on the day of All Out 2023 event.

September 2, 2023, episode of AEW Collison will be live from United Center, Chicago, Illinois, US. Below is the announced lineup for the show:
