AEW Collision episode of August 5, 2023, is set to feature three title matches along with a segment featuring the Acclaimed. The show will compete against SummerSlam 2023.

CM Punk will put his “Real” World Championship on the line against Ricky Starks. FTR will defend the AEW Tag Team Titles against Brian Cage & Big Bill whereas Kris Statlander vs Mercedes Martinez for AEW TBS Title is also announced. CM Punk vs Ricky Starks – Real World Champion

Last week, CM Punk pulled the old AEW World Championship from his bag and claimed that he is the real champion since no one has defeated him for this title so far. Ricky Starks confronted him and challenged him for the title which Punk accepted. Starks has been defeating Punk twice, once in a singles match and once in a tag team match, with illegal rope leverage. As a result, this match will be officiated by Ricky “the Dragon” Steamboat

FTR vs Brian Cage & Big Bill

Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood retained their AEW Tag Team Titles against MJF & Adam Cole last week on Collision. Last Friday on Rampage, Brian Cage & Big Bill won the tag team Battle Royale to become the next challengers for the title. As a result, FTR will put the tag team gold on the line against these two giants this Saturday. Will FTR still be champions after this match? 

Kris Statlander vs Mercedes Martinez

Last week, Mercedes Martinez defeated Kiera Hogan in a singles match. However, she continued to assault her even after beating her, and then eventually Kris Statlander made the save. As a result, a TBS title match was set between these two women for this week’s Collision. Will Martinez be able to become the new champion? 

The Acclaimed Speaks

Last week on Collision, House of Black retained their AEW Trio Titles against The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn. However, after the match Billy Gunn left his boots in the ring, hinting at his retirement from the in-ring competition. During the Dynamite, it was confirmed that the Acclaimed would speak on Collision. So, will they address Billy Gunn’s actions and bid him farewell?
