Steve Garcia Jr. vs Melquizael Costa fight is set for UFC Fight Night Austin event later this year.

It has been confirmed that Garcia Jr. will go one-on-one against Costa in a featherweight division clash at UFC Fight Night Austin event on December 2, 2023.

The news was disclosed through the social media accounts of Iridium Sports Agency – the agency responsible for managing Steve Garcia Jr.

Steve Garcia Jr. recently had a scheduled bout at UFC on ESPN 50 against Sean Woodson, but the fight was canceled after Garcia’s withdrawal from the matchup.

Garcia Jr. is presently on a two-fight winning streak. His most recent win came at UFC 287, where he secured a victory by KO against Shayilan Nuerdanbieke. Prior to that, Garcia Jr. defeated Chase Hooper in another bout.

Melquizael Costa has participated in two matches in UFC, with one victory and one loss. His most recent bout took place at UFC Vegas 77, where he emerged victorious by unanimous decision against Austin Lingo. However, his one loss in UFC took place at UFC 283 event in his promotional debut against Thiago Moisés via submission.

UFC Fight Night Austin event is scheduled for December 2, 2023, and it will be broadcast live from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, United States. A welterweight bout is also set for the event where Sean Brady will fight Kelvin Gastelum.
