On October 4, some reports indicated that UFC has applied for a license to hold an event in Austin, TX, on this date. Later, it was revealed that the event will air from Moody Center in Austin, TX.

Dana White announced on October 30 that Beniel Dariush vs Arman Tsarukyan bout will be the main event bout.

Bobby Green vs Dan Hooker was revealed as a 5-round co-main event. Later, Hooker pulled out of the fight due to an injury. Jalin Turner agreed to fight Green on 9 days notice, but the bout was turned into a 3-round fight.
