Beneil Dariush vs Arman Tsarukyan UFC Austin

Two top-ranked lightweight contenders, Beneil Dariush and Arman Tsarukyan, are reported to clash at UFC Austin Fight Night event.

The fight was first reported on the latest UFC Unfiltered podcast by Tsarukyan himself, who revealed December 2 to be the date planned for the fight in Austin, TX.

Tsarukyan also revealed that the fight was earlier planned for UFC 294, and was later discussed for UFC 295. Now, Tsarukyan is hoping that the fight gets confirmed for December 2. Earlier, Dariush’s Manager Ali Abdelaziz also said that Beneil vs Tsarukyan fight was planned by UFC.

The main event for this Fight Night event was also revealed on Wednesday evening, and it looks like Dan Hooker and Bobby Green are set to be UFC Austin main event. The event is currently expected to air from Moody Center in Austin. TX.

Beneil Dariush is coming off a loss to Charles Oliveira in the co-main event of UFC 289 PPV event. The fight was considered a lightweight title eliminator bout with the winner expected to fight the champion Islam Makhachev next.

Dariush was on an 8-fight winning streak prior to the clash with Oliveira. He previously defeated Mateusz Gamrot at UFC 280 event via unanimous decision.

Arman Tsarukyan is coming off two wins in a row after losing to Gamrot in June 2022. It was just his second loss in UFC. His previous defeat came against Islam Makhachev. Tsarukyan has defeated Damir Ismagulov and Joaquim Silva in his last two bouts. His overall UFC record stands at 7-2.
