Josh Emmett vs Giga Chikadze Reported for UFC 296 PPV
A new bout is reported for UFC 296 PPV event where Josh Emmett will face Giga Chikadze.
According to the report from Marcel Dorff, two top-ranked UFC featherweights, Emmett and Chikadze, are set to clash at December 16’s event in Las Vegas.
Emmett currently sits at #6 in UFC Rankings in featherweight division. Chikadze is at #8 in the same list.

Josh Emmett is currently facing a two-fight losing streak. His most recent bout was against Ilia Topuria at UFC on ABC 5 event, and he was defeated by unanimous decision. Prior to the Topuria fight, Emmett suffered a defeat at the hands of Yair Rodriguez at UFC 284 event for interim UFC Featherweight title. This loss brought an end to Emmett’s impressive five-fight winning streak.
Giga Chikadze’s most recent fight took place at UFC on ESPN+ 83, where he secured a victory against Alex Caceres by unanimous decision. Prior to the fight against Caceres, Chikadze suffered a defeat at the hands of Calvin Kattar, which marked the end of his impressive nine fights winning streak.
UFC 296 event is scheduled for December 16, 2023, and it will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. A bantamweight bout is also reported for the event where Cody Garbrandt will face Brian Kelleher.
