UFC Extend UAE Partnership to 2028, Will Hold More Fight Nights
UFC and The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi have extended their partnership until 2028.
UFC put out a press release via their website that they have extended the deal with UAE to host a numbered(PPV) event every year featuring at least one title fight. They will also hold additional Fight Night events in MENA region. UFC is already scheduled to hold a Fight Night event in Saudi Arabia on March 2, 2024.
The press release also featured comments from UFC CEO Dana White who expressed his admiration for Abu Dhabi, praising its people, dining, and accommodations. He is also thrilled to host significant UFC bouts in the Emirate and anticipates further growth, with more fight nights scheduled for the region next year.

Abu Dhabi has a well-established history of hosting prominent international sporting events and thrilling competitions. With its exceptional connectivity, top-tier infrastructure, and diverse array of attractions, the emirate caters to a wide range of visitor preferences.
Since 2010, UFC has held 18 events in UAE. The country became one of their hubs to hold events during COVID-19 pandemic. The press release mentions that UFC events in Abu Dhabi have attracted fans and introduced the emirate to over 900 million TV viewers in 170+ countries.
UFC 294 event is scheduled for October 21, 2023, at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. Alexander Volkanowski is set to challenge Islam Makhachev for the UFC Lightweight Championship in the main event.
