Miesha Tate vs Julia Avila fight is in works for UFC Fight Night 233 event.
According to the report from MMA Mania, Tate and Avila are set to clash in a bantamweight bout on UFC’s December 2 event.
Miesha Tate is making her return to the octagon after recovering from an injury. Initially slated to compete against Mayra Bueno Silva at UFC Vegas 74, Tate was forced to withdraw from the fight due to her injury. In the year 2023, Tate has not participated in any fights thus far.
Tate’s most recent bout took place in a grappling bout at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 3 event, where she suffered a defeat against Beatriz Mesquita. Currently, Tate is on a two-fight losing streak in UFC.
Julia Avila is making a significant comeback after a two-year absence from competition. Her absence from the competition was primarily due to an injury that sidelined her. Back in 2021, Avila was set to face Raquel Pennington at UFC Vegas 45, but she had to withdraw from the bout due to a knee injury.
Both of these women are making their return from injury, and it’s sure that they are determined to secure victory in their comeback matches.
UFC Fight Night 233 event is set to take place on December 2, 2023, but as of now, neither the venue nor the location have been decided. A middleweight bout is also set for the event, where Punahele Soriano will face Dustin Stoltzfus.
