Ray Cooper III vs Derek Brunson Set for PFL World Championship 2023
Ray Cooper III is set to go up against Derek Brunson at PFL World Championship event in 2023. This marks Brunsonโs debut in the PFL organization.
PFL has made an official announcement that Cooper III and Brunson are slated to compete in a middleweight bout at the PFL event scheduled for December 24, 2023.

Ray Cooper IIIโs last fight took place at PFL 6 2022 event, where he secured a victory over Brett Cooper via knockout. His upcoming bout will serve as his first fight of the year 2023. As of now, his PFL record stands at 12 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw.
Derek Brunson is making his debut in the PFL with his upcoming bout. His signing was announced yesterday by the organization. His most recent scheduled fight was against Roman Dolidze at UFC 295 event, but that bout was canceled after Dolidze left UFC. Prior to that, Brunson suffered a defeat at UFC 285 against Dricus Du Plessis.
It is interesting to note that it was announced that he would move up to Light Heavyweight, but this bout will only be at middleweight. Cooper has also fought in the welterweight division until now, and will be moving to middleweight for the first time.
PFL World Championship event is set to take place on November 24, 2023, and it will be broadcast live from The Anthem in Washington, D.C.
