Derek Brunson Joins PFL, Moves to LHW Division
Derek Brunson has signed a contract with PFL MMA.
Ali Abdelaziz has officially announced that Derek Brunson has joined PFL MMA where he will move up to the light heavyweight division and compete in the $1 Million tournament.

It is also expected that the former UFC middleweight fighter will make his PFL debut this year only. However, the name of his first opponent is yet to be revealed.
Derek Brunson has competed in UFC for more than a decade. He had his first UFC match back in 2012 against Chris Leben at UFC 155. On the other hand, he had his last UFC match at UFC 285 in March 2023 where he lost against Dricus du Plessis via a second-round TKO.
Brunson is ending his UFC career with a two-fight losing streak. He also lost against Jared Cannonier via a second-round TKO at UFC 271.
Now it will be interesting to see when Derek Brunson makes his PFL debut and who will be his first LHW opponent.
