UFC Vegas 81: Andre Petroski Replaces Barriault vs Michel Pereira UFC
Andre Petroski has come in to replace Marc-Andre Barriault to face Michel Pereira at October 14’s UFC Vegas 81 event.
Andre Petroski has taken his social media to announce that he will be replacing Barriault in a middleweight bout against Pereira. The specific reason for Barriault’s withdrawal from the fight has not been disclosed yet.
Andre Petroski is currently enjoying a five-fight winning streak in the UFC. His most recent fight took place at UFC 292, where he secured a victory over Gerald Meerschaert via split decision. Petroski has remained undefeated in his UFC fights.
Before the Meerschaert fight, Petroski experienced a defeat in a grappling match at the Fury Pro Grappling 7 event, where he faced Rene Sousa.
Michel Pereira is currently on a five-fight winning streak. His most recent bout was scheduled to take place at UFC 291 against Stephen Thompson but had to be canceled due to Pereira’s failure to make the required weight.
Pereira’s latest victory came at UFC Vegas 55, where he secured a split-decision win over Santiago Ponzinibbio. Prior to that, he also notched victories against Andre Fialho and Niko Price.
UFC Vegas 81 event is scheduled for October 14 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, featuring a featherweight bout between Edson Barboza and Sodiq Yusuff.
