Pantoja vs Erceg to Headline UFC 301 PPV, More Bouts Official

UFC 301 PPV has found its headliner bout, where Alexandre Pantoja will face Steve Erceg in the flyweight title bout.

UFC announced officially that Alexandre Pantoja would defend his UFC Flyweight Championship against #10 ranked flyweight Steve Erceg. The event is set to take place in Pantoja’s native Rio De Janeiro in Brazil on May 4, 2024.

This will be Pantoja’s second title defence of the flyweight title. He won the title at UFC 290 from Brandon Moreno via split decision. He defended the title against Brandon Royval at UFC 296 in December 2023 in a one-sided affair.

Australia’s Steve Erceg is currently on an 11-fight winning streak. He made his way to UFC last year with a win over David Dvořák at UFC 289. He has since beaten Alessandro Costa at UFC 295 and Matt Schnell at UFC Vegas 87 event.

UFC has also announced the complete card. Michel Pereira will fight Makhmud Muradov in a middleweight bout on the main card of UFC 301.

Previously reported Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs Iasmin Lucindo bout from women’s strawweight bout was also made official on the prelims card. Paul Craig is set to face Caio Borrralho in a middleweight bout.
