Iasmin Lucindo will not be competing in his scheduled bout against Josefine Knutsson, which was planned for September 16 at Noche UFC event.

Nolan King reported that Iasmin Lucindo wouldn’t be facing Knutsson due to injuries. However, the specific nature of the injury has not been disclosed. Lucindo and Knutsson were scheduled for strawweight bout.

Lucindo’s withdrawal is another one in a series of withdrawals from Noche UFC. Lucindo was originally supposed to face Elise Reed. However, Reed was moved to face Lupita Godinez when her opponent Sam Hughes pulled out.

Iasmin Lucindo is currently on a two-fight winning streak. Her most recent win was against Polyana Viana at UFC Vegas 78 earlier this year. Before Viana, Lucindo also defeated Brogan Walker.

Due to the withdrawal of Lucindo from the fight, it is currently unclear whether Knutsson will withdraw from the card or if she will get another opponent for the fight. This was supposed to be her UFC debut.

Knutsson’s recent appearance came at Dana White Contender Series 2023 event, where she defeated Isis Verbeek by a unanimous decision. Knutsson is currently unbeaten in seven MMA bouts so far.

Noche UFC event is scheduled for September 16, 2023, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. A bantamweight fight is also set for the event between Raul Rosas Jr. and Terrence Mitchell.
