Matchroom to Announce Leigh Wood vs Josh Warrington on Aug 1
Matchroom Boxing is set to announce the WBA Featherweight Title bout on August 1 at a press conference.
According to the latest report from Everything Boxing, Leigh Wood vs Josh Warrington WBA Featherweight Title fight is set, and Matchroom would make it official at a press conference in Leeds on August 1, 2023.
It has also been reported that after the press conference in Leeds, Matchroom will have the second leg of the press tour in Nottingham.

Earlier this year in Feb, Leigh Wood dropped the WBA Featherweight Title to Mauricio Lara as he lost the match via a seventh-round TKO. However, he took revenge in the rematch and won the title back in May 2023.
On the other hand, Josh Warrington is coming off a loss against Luis Alberto Lopez. He also lost the IBF Featherweight Title in this bout which he won by defeating Kiko Martinez last year in March.
