PBC have revealed the headliner and the fights on the first PBC on Amazon PPV event.

It is announced that Tim Tszyu will defend WBO Super Welterweight Championship against Keith Thurman on March 30 to headline PBC on Amazon Prime PPV. Additionally, Rolando Romero will defend WBA Super Lightweight Championship against Isaac Cruz.

PBC and Amazon came to a deal in December last year after PBC’s contract with Showtime ended in 2023. This will be the first event under that deal.

Tim Tszyu won the vacant WBO title by beating Brian Mendoza in October. The title was vacated after Jermell Charlo was stripped due to not defending it against Tszyu and instead fighting Canelo Alvarez. Keith Thurman will just fight for the second time since his first loss against Manny Pacquiao in 2019. He defeated Mario Barrios in his last fight in February 2022.

Rolando Romero won the vacant WBA Super Lightweight title by beating Ismael Barroso in May last year, which was his first bout since losing to Gervonta Davis. Isaac Cruz is currently on a 3-fight winning streak with wins over Yuriorkis Gamboa, Eduardo Ramirez and Giovanni Cabrera.

PBC has also announced WBA Middleweight title bout between Erislandy Lara and Michael Zerafa for the main card. A super welterweight bout between Sebastian Fundora and Serhii Bohachuk is set to open the main card.

ESPN’s Mike Coppinger has reported that Julio Cesar Martinez will defend WBC Flyweight title against Angelino Cordova on the prelims card. This will be one of the two bouts on the prelims card as Coppinger.
