Jake Paul to Receive World Rankings if he Beats Tommy Fury
Jake Paul is just one step away from receiving the cruiserweight world rankings by WBC.
Jake Paul is set to collide against the Problem Child Tommy Fury on Feb 26 in Saudi Arabia, and if he beats Fury, WBC will reward Paul with the world cruiserweight rankings.
WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman has also confirmed the same in his statement. He stated Paul has been close with WBC for several years, and he also won the WBC amateur title when his elder brother Logan Paul fought KSI.
Sulaiman added that Jake has dedication and respect towards this sport, and WBC won’t tolerate discrimination against anyone. Jake deserves opportunities like any other boxer. He has also enrolled in the VADA testing clean boxing program, and hence Sulaiman supports Jake’s stance as a boxer.
Jake Paul would have received a ranking if he beat Hasim Rahman Jr last year in August, but the bout was canceled. Paul is coming off a unanimous decision win against the UFC legend Anderson Silva.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Jake Paul receives a ranking or will the Problem Child actually becomes a problem for him.
Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury is set to headline a PPV event on February 26 from the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia. Stay tuned to get live results of this event.
