Devin Haney-Vasily Lomachenko PPV Buys, Ticket Sales & Pay Details

Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenko

Devin Haney vs Vasily Lomachenko was not as successful as Top Rank and other promoters would have hoped in terms of PPV Buys.

According to Boxing Reporter Dan Rafael on his substack, Haney vs Lomachenko did around 150,000 PPV buys in total on cable, satellite and online on ESPN+ PPV. The fight took place on May 20, 2023, at MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

The event was priced at $59.99 in order to boost pay-per-view numbers. With this price tag, the event grossed around $9 million in PPV revenue in US. 115,000 of PPV buys came through ESPN+ PPV. 35,000 to 40,000 PPV buys came via satellite and cable.

PPV revenue comes on top of a sellout crowd of 14,436 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The revenue from ticket sales is not at the time.

It is already known that Devin Haney got $4 million guaranteed for this fight against Vasily Lomachenko, who got $3 million in guarantee. With the amount of PPV buys, it does not look like they would get any bonus on top of that. Haney was also fined $400,000 for shoving Lomachenko off.

Haney defeated Lomachenko via unanimous decision with the scoreline of 116-112, 115-113, 115-113. But majority of the fans and media gave the fight to Lomachenko.
