Struggles of the Lady!!
Lacey Evans is called up by Michael Cole on the ramp for an interview. Michael asks what prompted her to question Sasha and Bayley’s leadership. Evans says that Sasha and Bayley are the bullies and that’s why she decided to stand up to them. They bring up Evans’ struggles from childhood, her father being an alcoholic and her marine stint as she tries to get her story across the crowd.
We see the replay of Sasha’s exchange with Evans’ daughter. Evans says it was difficult to see her daughter getting involved in all of this. She is claiming to beat Bayley at Royal Rumble when Bayley attacks her from behind. The officials are quick to intervene here.
Carmella and Dana Brooke announce their entry to the Royal Rumble match in an interview with Kayla Braxton. Carmella reminds us of her win at battle royal at WrestleMania, winning Money in the Bank and her championship wins. Brooke says nobody will stand in her way to win the Rumble as the camera cuts to Evans and Bayley’s brawl at the backstage.
Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs Fire & Desire(Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville)
Before the match, we get a replay from last week when Otis caught Mandy as she was about to fall. The distraction allowed Bliss to roll-up Sonya for the pin. We get a pre-recorded segment where Mandy apologizes to Sonya for last week and all is good with Fire & Desire now.
Sonya and Bliss start the match. As soon as they lock up, Lacey Evans and Bayley run into the ring with their brawling. The chaos breaks out as all six women start brawling now. The officials run to try to control things but to no avail.
We cut to Elias backstage as he strums his guitar. Braun Strowman approaches him and tells him, “Let’s go to work.”
Elias & Braun Strowman vs Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro(w/ Sami Zayn)
Elias is in the ring now and makes some claims regarding Royal Rumble match. Braun Strowman comes out and Elias asks him if they can do a duet. They were about to start when Cesaro’s music hits. Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn also come out for the tag team match.
Elias and Cesaro start the match and Elias hits a clothesline and a shoulder tackle to start. He does the walk on the rip and takes down Cesaro with a double knee. Sami Zayn and Nakamura’s distraction allows Cesaro to level Elias. Nakamura hits a kick to Elias at the ringside and Strowman level him in return as we head to the break.
Cesaro and Nakamura are keeping pressure on Elias. Elias tries to make a tag but Nakamura cuts him off to prevent a tag. Nakamura and Cesaro kick Strowman off the apron. Elias turns it around with a kick and Strowman recovers for the tag. He knocks Cesaro off the apron before he goes after Nakamura. Running tackles and slams follows.
Nakamura sidesteps in the corner and hits a flying knee to take him down. He and Cesaro ram Strowman into the ring post but he kicks out. Strowman hits the Powerslam and tags Elias for a flying elbow drop on Cesaro to get the win.
