WWE Monday Night RAW Live Results & Updates- 18 May 2020
Charly is backstage with King Corbin now. She asks him about tonight’s match with Drew McIntyre. Corbin says Drew may be WWE Champion but he’s not king. We see Drew watching the interview as Corbin goes on taking shots. Corbin says he’s going to take advantage of every mistake Drew makes tonight and beat him. Corbin says the next time he steps in the ring with Drew after tonight will be the main event of WrestleMania, and he will take the WWE Title.
R-Truth vs. Bobby Lashley
R-Truth enters for the match and takes the mic. He talks about his cousin Pretty Ricky telling him about how Bobby Lashley has been a bad man lately. R-Truth show us replays of recent matches between the two. Truth does some comedy in his promo and then calls out Tom Brady, mistaking him for WWE 24/7 Champion Rob Gronkowski. Lashley comes out for the match now.
Truth gets out of the ring to stall and then puts in his fake teeth to transform into Pretty Ricky. Lashley chases Truth at the ringside and Lashley rams him into the barrier and then the ring post. Lashley brings it back in and levels him with a clothesline. Lashley with knee strikes and the Full Nelson slam. He drops Truth to get the win.
Winner- Bobby Lashley
After the match, Lashley stands tall in the ring and MVP appears on the stage to applaud him. The camera cuts backstage to Lana and she starts throwing a fit, screaming and throwing stuff around.
Asuka and Kairi Sane are backstage celebrating still. We see Nia Jax staring them down as they go their separate ways. Jax follows Sane as we cut to the break.
Nikki Cross & Alexa Bliss(c) vs The IIconics – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross come out. The IIconics are out next. They recaps their win from last week and they are glad that Bliss and Cross are here to drop their titles off to them.
Alexa Bliss and Billie Kay start the match. Royce tags in and Bliss fights them both off. Bliss brings down Royce with double knees. Cross hits a dropkick after she tags in. Royce and Kay try to double team but Cross handles them both. Cross takes down Royce with a springboard crossbody but Kay makes the save. Kay drops Cross on her shoulder. Kay misses a big boot and gets stuck on the top rope.
Alexa Bliss tags in and unloads on Kay with open hand strikes and dropkick. Bliss drops double knees to Kay. Cross decks Royce to send her to the floor, only to be sent out by a big boot from Kay. Kay turns around into a right hand from Bliss. Bliss sets up Kay and hits Twisted Bliss. Royce breaks the pin and slams Bliss into the steel ring. The referee asks her to stop but she continues. The referee calls for the disqualification.
Winners – Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross, by Disqualification
Kairi Sane is backstage, playing her flute. Nia Jax comes from behind and crashes her into a production case. Jax walks off while Sane is clutching her head.
The IIconics are arguing after their loss. Billie Kay says Peyton Royce blew their chance to get the titles back. Billie slaps Peyton but immediately apologizes as they both start crying. They hug to end the segment.
Asuka is with Kairi Sane now as officials are checking on her. She is angry and goes in search of Nia Jax. Back from the break, Asuka runs up at Nia and stops her. Jax does not respond while Asuka keeps shouting at her in Japanese. Asuka grabs her by her hair and drops her with a few kicks. Asuka leaves as Jax recovers.
