WWE SmackDown April 5, 2024 Match Card & Preview- Day Before WrestleMania
WWE SmackDown episode of April 5, 2024, takes place one day before WrestleMania 40 PLE and will feature a brother vs brother clash between Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa.
Andre The Giant Battle Royal is also set for the show along with a singles match between Zelina Vega and Elektra Lopez. New Catch Republic will clash with A-Town Down Under in WrestleMania tag team showcase. Randy Orton will feature on the KO Show. Andre The Giant Battle Royal
The yearly traditional Andre The Giant Battle Royal is set to take place on SmackDown for the fourth year in a row. This year’s participants include Andrade, Ricochet, Chad Gable, Bronson Reed, Shinsuke Nakamura, Omos, Apollo Crews, JD McDonagh, Otis, Akira Tozawa, Ivar, Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, Cedric Alexander, Ashante Adonis, Elton Prince, Kit Wilson, Cameron Grimes, Sanga and Veer. Who do you see winning this one? A side-note on this match – Judgment Day has tasked Andrade to “take care of” Ricochet if he wants to become a full-time member of the faction.
Jey vs Solo
Before facing his twin brother at WrestleMania, Jey Uso will face his younger brother Solo Sikoa one day before on SmackDown. Solo has been tasked with taking Jey out of WrestleMania. Will he succeed in the mission? Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes have got Jey’s back two weeks back on RAW to save him from the Bloodline. Will they be needed here also?
New Catch Republic vs A-Town Down Under
Both teams, New Catch Republic(Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate) and A-Town Down Under(Grayson Waller & Austin Theory) are set to be part of 6-pack ladder match for Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania. We will get a showcase of that match on SmackDown with these teams clashing in a straight-up tag team match. Will other teams from the match also try to get involved?
Randy Orton on the KO Show
Randy Orton and Kevin Owens got into some misunderstanding after Owens was pinned in their defeat in a tag team match against Pretty Deadly last week. Orton got to realize that it was Logan Paul who cost them the match by hitting Owens with brass knuckles. However, things have already seemed to have turned sour between them. We will get more insights into this relationship as Orton joins The KO show on Smackdown ahead of a triple threat match at WrestleMania between Logan, Orton and Owens.
Zelina Vega vs Elektra Lopez
The two ladies of LWO and Legado Del Fantasma- Zelina Vega and Elektra Lopez – have only been involved at ringside or in brawls. For the first time on SmackDown this week, they will clash in a singles match. It is a given that two sides will come head-to-head at ringside or backstage. But, will it effect the match result?
