NXT Stand & Deliver: Tag Title Challengers Finalized, Women’s Trios Match Added
WWE has added a women’s trios tag team match to NXT Stand & Deliver 2024 event while the challengers for NXT Tag Team Championships have also been finalized now.
Axiom & Nathan Frazer won a three-way tag team match to become the #1 contender for NXT tag titles. They defeated The OC(Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) and LWO (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro). The finish came after The OC hit Del Toro with Magic Killer. Frazer took advantage by hitting 450-splash on Del Toro to get the pinfall.
Axiom and Frazer will challenge The Wolfdogs – Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin – for the title. The Wolfdogs are Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2024 winners before they defeated The Family to win the tag team titles in February this year.
The women’s trio match will see Thea Hail, Fallon Henley, and Kelani Jordan fight Jacy Jayne, Kiana James, and Izzi Dame. Hail and Jayne were both part of Chase University, but they grew apart over the past couple of months. James and Dame were feuding with Chase University earlier.
Hail and Jordan brawled with Izzi and Dame this week on NXT during Henley and Jayne’s singles match. As Henley tried to help Hail & Jordan, she ran into a running knee from Jayne to lose the match. After the match, Hail demaded NXT General Manager to book them in a match. This prompted Ava to announce a trios match at Stand & Deliver.
NXT Stand & Deliver 2024 is set to take place on April 6 and has a special start time of 12 PM ET. Oba Femi is set to defend North American Championship in a triple threat match. The event will have Trick Williams vs Carmelo Hayes match as the main event.
