At Crown Jewel 2023 PLE, Drew McIntyre had a shot at World Heavyweight title against Seth Rollins but unfortunately fell short in his attempt to defeat Rollins. He asked for rematch to which Rollins agreed, but Rollins had already set up a match earlier against Jey Uso.
McIntyre has since got two big wins. First, he defeated Sami Zayn on December 4 episode of RAW. He also defeated Jey Uso on this week’s RAW episode.
Meanwhile, Seth Rollins defended his World Heavyweight title on the same episode by defeating Jey Uso in a one-on-one match.
Day 1 earlier took place as PLE on January 1, 2022. A five-way match for WWE Championship between Big E, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens and Brock Lesnar headlined the show. The 2024 edition of Day 1 will be live from Pechanga Arena, San Diego, CA, US.
