WrestleMania 40: Rhea Ripley vs Becky Lynch Women’s Title Match Set
A match between Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch is now finalized for WWE WrestleMania 40 with Ripley’s Women’s World Championship on the line.
A women’s Elimination Chamber match was set up at the Elimination Chamber event where the winner would get a shot at Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 40. The match featured the likes of Bianca Belair, Tiffany Stratton, Noami, Raquel Rodriguez, Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch.
Becky Lynch was able to get the win by last eliminating Liv Morgan from the match via pinfall after hitting the Manhandle Slam.
Rhea Ripley was set to face Nia Jax to defend her title at Elimination Chamber in her hometown of Perth, Australia. The match was the headliner bout for the event where Rhea was able to get the win to continue her reign.
Rhea won the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39 by beating Charlotte Flair. The title was later rebranded as Women’s World Championship and Rhea has been holding onto the title for more than 300 days now.
Becky Lynch made it clear a long time ago that she wanted to win back the World title back at WrestleMania. When she failed to win the women’s Royal Rumble, she turned her focues on Elimination Chamber match.
