WWE RAW October 7: Gunther vs Sami World Title & More Announced
WWE RAW episode of October 7, 2024, will feature two title matches and a Donnybrook Match.
First up, Gunther has agreed to defend World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn. Sami has been after Gunther’s title after Gunther’s first defense against Randy Orton at Bash in Berlin. Gunther kept claiming that Sami did not deserve a title shot, but Sami kept reminding him how he had defeated Gunther at WrestleMania this year which remains Gunther’s only loss on the main roster so far.
This week at RAW, Sami ended up calling Gunther a coward for not facing him again. This led to Gunther attacking Sami and putting him in a sleeper choke. Later, it was announced that Gunther would face Sami next week.
Another long awaited showdown will take place next week as former stablemates Sheamus and Pete Dunne will clash in a Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook Match. Dunne turned on Sheamus back in July and the duo did not see eye-to-eye since then. Sheamus challenged Dunne for this Irish speciality match via a vignette.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso will defend his title for the first time on RAW October 7 episode. He will face Xavier Woods who defeated Rey Mysterio this week on RAW.
