Arthur Ashe Stadium Targetted as Forbidden Door 3 Venue
AEW is reportedly holding this year’s Forbidden Door PPV event at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York.
The report came via Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Podcast. He tweeted, “AEW will hold the Forbidden Door PPV at Arthur Ashe Stadium in NYC this June!”.
Forbidden Door is a joint event held by AEW and NJPW over the last two years with wrestlers from both promotions fighting alongside or against each other. The date for 2024 edition was not mentioned, but it has taken place on the last Sunday of June in previous years. – June 26, 2022, and June 25, 2023. This year, it can take place either on June 23 or June 30.
AEW has held Grand Slam TV special event at Arthur Ashe Stadium since 2021 in September. But, it will be the first time that they will hold a PPV in a stadium in United States.
