Welcome to the live results coverage for WWE Crown Jewel 2023 event, which was live from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Roman Reigns returned to in-ring action as he defended Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against LA Knight in the main event. The other World title was also on the line as Seth Rollins defended World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre.

Women’s World Championship saw 5 women in action with Rhea Ripley defending the title against Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, Raquel Rodriguez and Nia Jax. Iyo Sky defended WWE Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair.

Logan Paul challenged Rey Mysterio for WWE United States Championship. Cody Rhodes faced Damian Priest in a marquee singles match. Another marquee matches saw John Cena take on Solo Sikoa. Sami Zayn was in action on the pre-show to face JD McDonagh. Catch up with all the results and live updates below.

LIVE UPDATES

The kick-off show is live with Jackie Redmon, Matt Camp and Peter Rosenberg. The panel take us through the complete match card and then starts to discuss Rollins vs McIntyre match. The quickly move on to discuss Iyo Sky vs Bianca match, and then to John Cena vs Solo Sikoa match. Rey Mysterio vs Logan Paul comes up for the discussion next. Cody Rhodes vs Damian Priest was brought up after this. The panel then sends us to the commentary team as the first match is about to start.

Sami Zayn vs JD McDonagh

Sami gets a loud ovation as he makes his entrance. JD is hesitating in engaging and gets to the ropes a couple of times. He puts on an arm wringer. Sami reverses it. Sami hits a couple of armdrags. JD corners him and puts on a chinlock. Sami sends him flying with a monkey flip. Sami unloads on him in the corner. JD slips past him but Sami slams his face into the turnbuckles in different corners. JD slips to the floor and drops Sami on the ropes.

JD keeps control for a while. Sami ducks a chop in the corner and hits back at him. JD fights him off in the corner but if Sami drops him. JD gets his knees up on a splash from the top. JD keeps control again for a while. Sami comes back with a big clothesline. A back body drop from Sami follows up. JD hits a standing Spanish Fly to get a two-count. Sami hits his boots up on a moonsault from the top. Sami hits an exploder suplex and then hits Helluva kick. He follows up with a Blue Thunderbomb to get the pinfall.

We get a vignette for Drew McIntyre discussing his World title-winning coming during the empty arena period. We are told that Rollins vs McIntyre will open the show. The panel then move to discuss Roman Reigns vs LA Knight match.


The main show opens with a vignette being narrated by all the stars on the card today. “Believer” is theme song.

Seth Rollins(c) vs Drew McIntyre – World Heavyweight Championship

They circle around to start the match before locking up. Drew pushes Seth to the corner to cause a break. Drew hits a shoulder tackle. Seth uses misdirection in an attempt to get an upper hand but Drew tackles him once again. Drew hits big chops and a suplex to get a two-count. Rollins manages to send Drew to the floor, hits a kick and a knee dive. He goes for a suicide dive but Drew catches him and hits a belly-to-belly suplex.

Drew brings him back to the ring and whips him hard into the corner. Seth hits quick punches and a kick but Drew hits him with a spinebuster to get a two-count. Drew hits headbutt to drop Seth back to the mat. They trade chops next. Drew whips him to the corner. Seth tries to leap frog but Drew hits with a kick mid-air to get a two-count.

Drew hits a couple of elbows before Seth blocks an Alabama slam with kicks to his neck. Drew misses a corner tackle and injures his hands. Seth hits some quick strikes including kicks, short arm lariat and finally a running knee. He hits a couple of springboard dives to get a two-count. Seth blocks a suplex and hits a falcon arrow himself for a two-count. Both men block a DDT. Seth hits a rolling elbow. Drew hits shot in the corner. Rollins brings him down from the top with a superplex. Drew counters with a suplex of his own.

Drew gets Seth in a fireman’s carry and gets up to the second rope. Seth slips down but his back gives up as he goes for a buckle bomb. Drew instead hits a Futureshock DDT to get a near fall. Drew gets ready for Claymore, but Rollins is unable to get up. Drew goes pick him up but Seth gets in an inside cradle for a two-count. Seth hits a suicide dive when Drew goes to the floor. Drew hits a spinebuster into the steel steps. He hits a sidewalk slam on top of the apron next from Drew.

Seth hits a chop when they get into the ring. Drew hits Glasgow kiss. Seth counters a clothesline with a pedigree to get a near fall. Seth hits some clubbing blows to drop Drew down. He gets ready for the stomp but Drew picks him up to hit a spinebuster in the corner, a couple of belly-to-belly suplexes and a neckbreaker. Drew gets ready for Claymore but Seth cuts him off with a superkick and hits a stomp. Drew kicks out at two-count.

Seth gets ready for another stomp but Drew is not moving at all. Seth gets up to the top and goes for a corkscrew moonsault/pheonix splash but Drew gets away and hits a Claymore kick. Seth kicks out this time. Seth cuts off another Claymore with a superkick, ducks another Claymore and hits a pedigree and a stomp to get the pinfall.

Winner – Seth Rollins

Drew McIntyre is dejected. He takes some time to leave the ring. As he goes back, Damian Priest comes out and wants to cash-in the MITB breifcase. He hands the briefcase to the referee, but someone slams him into the ring post from behind. It is Sami Zayn. Sami takes the briefcase and runs away into the crowd. Rollins has a smirk on his face watching it all unfold. Backstage, Rhea Ripley stands beside Drew McIntyre briefly with a smirk on her face.

Rhea Ripley(c) vs Nia Jax vs Raquel Rodriguez vs Shayna Baszer vs Zoey Stark – Women’s World Championship

Rhea Ripley gets a special entrance with a dozen men giving her a guard of honor on the stage. The match begins and Nia slips out of the ring upon realizing that she will be the target. The others in the ring trade pin attempts. Zoey gets a two-in-one pin attempt. Zoey blocks a suplex from Shayna whose sunset flip is also blocked. Nia pulls Raquel out and tackles her into the apron. Rhea goes for a dropkick on her but Nia pulls her leg and tackles her into the apron. Shayna goes for a German suplex on Nia but Raquel has to come in to help her for the move.

Raquel hits quick moves on the other 3 women. Rhea blocks Tihana bomb and stomps her down to the mat. Rhea stands tall when the dust settles. Nia and Rhea trade slaps. Nia slams her to the mat and then hits a leg drop. Zoey breaks the pin. Zoey manages to hit her with springboard splash. Raquel hits a fallaway slam on Zoey. Shayna gets her and Rhea in a submission. Nia comes in and Shayna adds her into the submission chain with a sleeper choke. Zoey breaks the submission.

Zoey goes to the top. Rhea hits chops and shots at the back. Raquel joins her for a double superplex. Shayna complete the Tower of Doom and with a powerbomb spot. Nia hits a splash in the corner. Rhea hits a kick to her shin. Raquel hits Nia with a kick. Raquel and Rhea start to trade puches. They kick each other out with big boots at the same time. They get up on the apron but Stark kicks them off with a dropkick.

Stark hits a crossbody to take down Rhea and Raquel. Stark hits a missile dropkick on Rhea. He follows up with a suplex but Nia breaks the pin. Nia sets up for punches on the second rope. Raquel picks her up for a powerbomb. Shayna puts a Kirifuda clutch on Raquel. Rhea hits Shayna with Riptide, but Zoey breaks the pin. Zoey takes Rhea to the top. Rhea counters with an avalanche Riptide on Zoey and drops her on top of Shayna on the floor. Rhea pinned Shayna to get the result.

John Cena vs Solo Sikoa

Cena is obviously the crowd favorite as he makes a grand entrance. Cena ducks Solo’s clothesline as the bell rings. Cena gets him down to the mat with a waistlock takedown. Cena attacks the hand with arm wringers and tackles. He hits a clothesline to get a one-count. Cena puts on an arm stretch. Cena jumps on the hand before he throws Solo to the floor and slams the hand to the steel steps. Back to the ring, Cena throws Solo out once again and slams the hand on the steel steps.

Solo hits a headbutt to drop him. Solo hits a kick to his shoulder. He hits a tackle next. He hits another headbutt. Cena tries to work the arm again but Solo cuts him off with a leg lariat. Solo hits a hip drop in the corner. Cena ducks a Samoan spike and gets Solo up for AA. Solo slips out and hits a superkick to get a two-count. Solo hits hip attack in the corner. Cena ducks a Samoan spike again and puts on STF.

Solo gets him into a pin attempt to break free. Solo slams him to the mat. Cena is put in tree of woe to be hit with a head butt. Cena gets up but he continues to attack. Cena ducks a clothesline and hits a series of shoulder tackle and 5-knuckle shuffle. Solo blocks AA and hits Samoan drop for a near fall.

Solo hits a hip attack. Cena drops Solo’s arm on the ropes and then hits a crossbody to get a two-count. Cena hits a chokeslam on Solo to get another two-count. They trade punches now. Solo hits Spinning Solo to get anohter two-count. Cena blocks Samoan spike and puts on STF. Solo gets to the ropes. Solo ends up hitting Samoan Spike. He waits for Cena to get up and hits two more samoan spike, but does not go for the pinfall. He hits the forth. Solo hits more vicious shots to get the pinfall.

Winner – Solo Sikoa

“Thank You, Cena” chants from the crowd for Cena.

The Miz TV w/ Ibrahim Al Hajjaj

The Miz makes his way out. He announces Ibraham Al Hajjaj as his special guest. Miz goes to engage with him, but Grayson Waller makes his entrance to interrupt. Waller argues that his talk show is better. Al Hajjaj get into the argument and sides with Miz as his favorite talkshow host. This starts a brawl. Hajjaj helps Miz to hit Skull Crushing Finale.

Rey Mysterio(c) vs Logan Paul – WWE United States Championship

Logan Paul’s entrance started earlier today where he was driving a durt car in the desert. He drives the car all the way to the arena. The bell ring and they lock up. Logan pushes Rey to the corner before the referee makes him let go. Rey works on the arm. Logan counters another move. Back and forth action. Rey catches Logan with a boot and a hurricanrana. Logan puts on a waistlock. Rey breaks free and hits sets up 619. Logan sends him to the apron and Rey hits him with enzugiri. He hits several punches on Rey in the corner. He hits a hard whip to the other corner.

Logan hits another waistlock take down. He puts on a waistlock to keep Rey engages for while. Mysterio stomps on the leg to break. He hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on Rey. He then does military place. He hits a warrior splash for jeete. He hits a crossbody but gets a two-count. Logan puts on a bear hugg and once again. Rey tries to break free Logan slams Rey to the mat. He keeps control for a while. Rey sends him to the floor with a suicde dive. Rey goes to ring and hits a seated senton, enzugiri, and splash to get a two-count. Rey is in control now.

Logan hits a Buckshot lariat to get a two-count. Logan lands a few shots. Rey puts him in a crossface. Logan makes to the ropes. Rey comes off the ropes with a moonsault but Logan counters it into piledriver. Rey sets up once again and gets to the top. Logan hits a fallaway slam backbreaker. Rey sets up for 619 but Logan avoids it. Rey hits a kick from the apron. Rey gets up again and hits Sunset Flip Powerbomb to get a two-count.

Logan is handed brass knuckles by one of the crew members of his team. Rey drives him into turnbuckle and the knuckles fall to the floor. Santos Escobar comes out to stop this crew member from interfering. Logan gets knuckles anyway and he counters a crossbody with one big shot with knuckles to get the pinfall.

Iyo Sky(c) vs Bianca Belair – WWE Women’s Championship

Bianca starts with a couple of waistlock takedowns. She hits a shoulder tackle to send Iyo to the floor. Iyo catches her with a kick but Bianca quickly send her into the apron. They get into the ring and Bianca hits a suplex. Bianca hits punches from the second rope. Iyo tries to pull her with the braids but Bianca kicks her away. Bianca misses a corner tackle and clashes into the ring post. Iyo takes over control.

Iyo starts to work Bianca’s knee. Bianca hits a suplex. Iyo targets the knee once again with a kick. Iyo puts on a leg lock to put more pressure on the knee. Bianca jabs at Iyo’s face to break free. Iyo dodges her attack in the corner. Iyo goes for a senton from the top but Bianca gets out of the way. Bianca hits a fallaway slam. She kips up but her knee is bothering her. She hits a trio of body slams. She hits a knee to Iyo’s gut to get a two-count.

Bianca goes for a superplex but Iyo slips down and puts Bianca in a tree of woe. Iyo hits a dropkick on Bianca’s knee against the turnbuckle. Iyo puts on a stretch muffler submission for a while. Bianca breaks free and hits a German suplex to get a two-count. They trade shots now. Bianca goes for The Jaded but Iyo counters with a sunset flip for a two-count. Bianca counters a headscissors with a flatliner to get another two-count.

Bayley has arrived at ringside. Bianca misses a senton from the top rope. Bayley is also distracting Iyo though. Bianca blocks a double underhook. Iyo blocks KOD and works on Bianca on the ropes. Iyo hits a moonsault on the floor. Iyo hits a springboard dropkick to get a two-count. Iyo hits an uppercut. Bianca hits a spinebuster to get a two-count. Bianca misses a handspring move. Iyo sends her into the ropes as she goes through them.

Bianca hits a Glam Slam but Bayley distracts the referee. Bianca hits a crossbody on the floor. Iyo ends up knocking out Bayley. Bianca throws Iyo into the barricade. Bayley tries to hold her down. Bianca gets Bayley on her shouler. Iyo has distracted the referee. Kairi Sane arrives to WWE and hits a back elbow on Bianca. She hits InSane Elbow on Bianca on the floor. Bianca beats the countdown but Iyo hits a moonsault quickly to get the pinfall.

Cody Rhodes vs Damian Priest

Priest attacks Cody as soon as he gets into the ring. The bell has not rung yet. Cody jumps at him and the bell rings. They run the ropes before Cody hits drop down uppercuts. He hits side effect next. Priest rolls to the floor. Cody looks for a suicide dive but holds back when Priest moves away. Cody goes to the floor. Priest throws him into the barricade. Back to the ring, Priest hits some kicks all over the body. Cody hits him with chops.

Cody’s ankle gives up and Priest nails a big shot and a flatliner to get a two-count. Priest hits some running elbows in the corner. Cody cuts him off with a dropkick. Cody tries to build some momentum with all his big moves. He hits a Disaster kick to keep his attack going. Cody goes to clear the announce table but Priest runs him over. Cody avoids Razor’s Edge on the floor and sends Priest into the ringpost. He hits a suicide dive next. Priest counters on the announce table and hits the Reckoning on Cody on top of the table.

Back to the ring, Cody counters the Reckoning into Crossrhodes. Both men are down. Finn Balor comes out and tries to distract the referee. JD McDonagh comes in from behind, but Cody decks him. Priest hits South of Heaven chokeslam but Cody kicks out. Balor signals someone to come out. Dominik Mysterio comes out with a steel chair. Jey Uso comes out and attacks Balor, Mysterio and McDonagh are dealt on the outside.

Cody hits Cody cutter in the ring. Cody hits signature jabs to get a two-count. Priest hits a step-up enzuigiri. Back and forth action continues. Cody hits a Cody Cutter to get another two-count. Cody hits a trio of Crossrhodes to get the pinfall.

Winner – Cody Rhodes

Roman Reigns(c) vs LA Knight – Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

Huge support for LA Knight when his name is announced. The referee is having hard time keeping the two apart during introductions.

LA starts with quick rights. He hits a neckbreaker next. Roman drops him with a back elbow. Roman hits more punches to drop Knight. Knight hits a low dropkick. He lands big right to send Knight to the apron. Knight hits a springboard tackle. Knight takes over control on the floor. He hits a clothesline off the apron. Knight keeps up with the attack for a while. Roman drives him into the steel steps.

Roman takes the action back to the ring. He keeps control with slow pace. He whips Knight into the corner before hitting a suplex to get a two-count. Knight fires punches but Roman hits a flying clothesline to get a two-count. Roman hits a corner clothesline. Roman gets angered by the crowd and hits another corner clothesline. Knight hits a big boot. Roman is the one to get up first though. Knight fires some punches and a side Russian leg sweep. Knight stomps at him in the corner. Roman hits her with side effect.

Knight drops him again. Reigns hits him with a Superman punch to get a two-count. Knight avoids a spear and Roman crashes into ring post. Knight hits a superplex. Knight hits an elbow drop to hit a superplex for a near fall. Jey Uso comes out. Knight holds him down. Roman hits a big punch before hitting a spear to get a near fall.

Roman goes for Guillotine choke now, but it is more like a front choke. Knight gets the second wind and fights back. He manages to hit BFT on Roman near the ropes. The referee counts but Jimmy has put his leg on the ropes. The referee stops the count. Knight slams Jimmy’s face on the announce table. Roman comes out and Knight does the same to him to.

Knight hits Jimmy’s face with the table more times. Roman hits a spear to put him through the barricade. Roman hits another spear to get the pinfall.

Winner – Roman Reigns

Roman celebrates his win to close the show.
