WWE RAW Results December 11, 2023, Live Updates – CM Punk, Drew vs Jey
Welcome to the live results coverage blog for WWE RAW December 11, 2023 episode, which aired from Cleveland, OH.
The most important segment of the show was CM Punk announcing his decision whether he would be on RAW or SmackDown. Two big singles matches were also set for the show with Cody Rhodes taking on Shinsuke Nakamura. Drew McIntyre clashed with Jey Uso in another key clash.
Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley took on Maxxine Dupri in a non-title match. Becky Lynch will call out Nia Jax. DIY & The Miz faced Imperium while Katana Chance & Kayden Carter faced Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae. The build-up for Royal Rumble 2024 event also continued with the show. RESULTS
- Drew McIntyre defeated Jey Uso in a singles match via pinfall.
- Rhea Ripley defeated Maxxine Dupri in a singles match via pinfall.

- DIY(Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) & The Miz defeated Imperium(Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) in a tag team match via pinfall.

LIVE UPDATES
The show opens with a recap of Drew McIntyre attacking Sami Zayn to cause an injury and how he attacked Jey Uso also after the main event.
Give Jey a “Yeet”
Jey Uso comes out to the ring and informs us that he has got “Yeet” back. He talks about Sami Zayn being taken out by Drew and hypes up Sami. He brings up CM Punk having to decide where he sign. Drew McIntyre music hits and he comes out with a mic. Drew says he is one of the few on the roster who has travelled with CM Punk and knows him well. He says SmackDown can have him, because he will tear Raw down from inside.
McIntyre apologizes to Sami for taking him out despite his reason. He tells Jey that this is an example of an apology which is something Jey has refused to do for him. He then asks the crowd if someone was in his situation, who wouldn’t go for revenge. Drew gets into the ring as his promo continues. Uso asks the crowd if they want McIntyre to catch this “Yeet-down” give him a “YEET!” They chant “Yeet”.
Drew McIntyre vs Jey Uso
The bell rings even before Drew can remove his jacket and skilt. Jey starts throwing punches. He hits a clothesline to send Drew to the floor.
Jey is in control as we return. He hits some uppercuts. Drew hits a kick to midsection but Jey hits back with an enzuigiri and a crossbody. Drew drops him to take over control. He hits several punches before a deadlift suplex. He stomps on Jey a couple of times. Jey hits uppercuts but Drew cuts him off with a back elbow as he comes off the ropes. Jey slips to the floor. Drew goes for a Claymore but Jey ducks it and Drew lands on the announce table. Jey hits a suicide dive to take us to a break.
Jey is on the top rope. Drew hits him with a monkey flip from the top rope. They get up after a while. Jey hits quick punches. Drew stops him with a headbutt. He lands a forearm when Jey sends him to the apron. Jey hits a Samoan drop after avoiding a clothesline from the top rope. Drew avoids a tackle and hits a neckbreaker. He kips up and gets ready for Claymore. Jey hits a couple of superkicks to drop him.
Drew gets his knees up on the Usos splash. Drew hits a futureshock DDT to get a near fall. Drew removes a turnbuckle pad. He gets ready for Claymore but Jey hits him with a spear. Drew kicks out before three. The referee goes to check on the turnbuckle and Drew rakes Jey’s eyes. Drew hits Claymore kick to get the pinfall.
Winner – Drew McIntyre
We get a video package from Shinsuke Nakamura talking about Cody Rhodes and says Cody is like a dog chasing a car and will never be able to win the title. He calls Cody weak for not being able to respect him.
Judgment Day are backstage in a tense mood. Balor tells JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio that wheels are falling off after they missed RAW last week and how R-Truth keeps invading their locker room. JD tries to talk back but Rhea shuts him up. Damian Priest tries to talk back, but Rhea shuts him up also saying that she is tired of the disrespect and they need to show that they run RAW. So, she will make an example of Maxxine Dupri tonight.
We cut to Alpha Academy locker room where the rest of the group is hyping up Maxxine. Ivy Nile and The Creed Brothers also come in to show their support. R-Truth comes in with some decorations. He says he is going to decorate Judgment Day locker room. Others try to tell him that he is not in the group. R-Truth replies that Judgment Day misunderstood, and he is in the group but Judgment Day does not know it yet.
Rhea Ripley vs Maxxine Dupri
Maxxine ducks Rhea and catches her with a big shot. Rhea hits short arm clotheslines as she takes over control. Maxxine blocks a powerbomb. Rhea hits a blow to the back and tries to hit the powerbomb but Maxxine counters again. Rhea gets angry. Maxxine comes off the ropes and Rhea hits her with a big boot. Rhea hits Riptide but does not go for the cover. Rhea talks trash for a while before she puts Maxxine in The Prism trap to get a tap out.
Winner – Rhea Ripley
Rhea keeps Maxxine in the lock after the bell also. She puts her knees on Maxxine’s neck. The referee separates them. Ivy Nile comes into the ring to have a brief face-off.
We get a video package for Katana Chance and Kayden Carter as they attend a music festival. They claim that they are just getting started. They will face Indi Hartwell and Candice Le Rae tonight.
We see Adam Pearce entering CM Punk’s locker room.
CM Punk Decides
Adam Pearce is in the ring. He tells us that after going to Smackdown to talk and to NXT to talk to Shawn Michaels, CM Punk needs to make a decision tonight. He brings out Punk. Punk gets into the ring to a loud ovation.
Punk says he was in sullen mood, but he sees all these signs and chants. He has been thinking whole week about where to sign. He is so concerned about it because he loves the fans. He brings up that he debut in the same arena, and how he was sent to OVW. He also stripped off the title in the same building after he won it for the first time. He then brings up how he walked out of the company 10 years ago. He apologizes to everyone who was dissappointed with his walkout.
Punk goes to talk about how he got offers from all three brands and how RAW’s deal is the best one. But, his mind was already made up when he saw the calender which had Cleveland in it. Almost 10 years the day Punk walked out, he walks back in. CM Punk is home. Punk signs the contract. He goes to the pose in the corner when familiar music hits.
“Burn it down”, and Seth Rollins makes his way out to the ring. Rollins and Punk have a lengthy face-off as the crowd continues to sing for Rollins. Rollins takes the match and welcomes Punk to Monday Night Rollins. Rollins says Punk is so fortunate for even standing in this ring, but he should not dare to call it his home. Rollins says Punk abandoned this place 10 years ago and actively tried to tear it down, slandered every person backstage and now walks back in. Rollins says this is not Punk’s home, but it is Rollins’ home. Everyone in the back are his brothers and sister, everyone watching are his family, and he will do everything he can to protect it from Punk.
Rollins says he hates Punk with every fibre in his body. But, if Punk is going to be in WWE, he wants Punk to be on RAW because he knows truth will come out one day. So, either Punk will explode someday and Rollins will be there to shut door on Punk’s legacy. Or if Punk has really changed and has gas left in his tank, Rollins will expose Punk for the fraud that he is. Rollins says there are levels to this and he will circle around Punk.
Punk says this was Rollins’ one free pass to come after him. Punk claims that he never asked for a free pass. He asks Adam Pearce to make it official that he will be entering Royal Rumble. And when he wins, he might come after Rollins. Punk leaves the ring. Rollins keeps smiling.
We get a video package hyping Ivar vs Bronson Reed match.
Ivar vs Bronson Reed
Ivar starts with big kicks. He corners Reed to unload with kicks. Reed comes back with a Thesz press and a senton. He hits chops before he whips Ivar from corner to corner. They trade big punches before dropping each other with clotheslines as the same time. They roll to the floor on the opposite sides. They look at each other and Ivar dates Reed. They clash on the floor with a crossbody.
They are trading punches as we return from a break. Ivar hits a spinebuster to get a two-count. He misses a hip attack in the corner. He sends Reed to the floor and hits a senton from the top rope. Back to the ring, Reed hits back when Ivar gets to the top again. They fight on the top rope. Reed hits a superplex and drags over to get a pinfall.
Winner – Bronson Reed
CM Punk meets Judgment Day backstage and asks them where is Rhea. Damian Priest welcomes him to their brand and says he wants Punk to finish his story first, so that he can cash-in MITB briefcase. Judgment Day make their entrance.
Judgment Day with R-Truth
Damian Priest starts in angry mood and demands respect. Balor says how they are the only team to become two-time undisputed tag team champions. Priest says everyone in the locker room is put on notice. Heavy boos take over when Dominik tries to speak. R-Truth comes out to the stage and says he went by the Clubhouse but they had it locked from front and back. He asks how he will do decorations for the Holiday party.
JD McDonagh snaps at R-Truth, but Priest asks him to get into the ring. R-Truth says he has got a lot of ideas about the party. First one is to keep JD out as nobody likes him. Dominik holds JD back. Second, he wants Damian Priest not to call himself the boss as it makes Mami mad. Priest cuts him off and says R-Truth is funny and many people loves him…. except Priest. Priest drops R-Truth with a clothesline. Others also join the beatdown.
The Creed Brothers run out but the numbers are too overwhelming for them. JD and Dominik take Julius to the floor where he hits them with a double Northern Lights suplex. He gets back into the ring and helps Brutus fight off Balor. Priest goes for a double chokeslam, but they fight him off and send him to the floor. Judgment Day regroup on the floor as the segment comes to an end.
CM Punk is walking backstage where he meets Drew McIntyre standing with Adam Pearce. Drew tells Punk that he does not care about anyone’s story but his own. Drew leaves. Pearce tells Punk that Drew will get World Heavyweight title shot at Day 1 edition of WWE RAW. Kofi Kingston, Ricochet and Chad Gable walk in and Punk greets them enthusiatically. After Punk leaves, Pearce says he wants to discuss #1 contender match for Intercontinental title with them.
Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs Indi Hartwell & Candice Le Rae
Carter and Indi start the match with Indi hitting a shoulder tackle. Carter counters to tag in Chance who hits a senton and a hurricanrana on Indi. Candice tags in and gets the upper hand against Carter with a back splash. Indi tags in again to hit a spinebuster. Candice comes in but Carter gets her knees up when Indi tries to drop her on top of Carter. Carter drops Indi with a kick. Chance tags in and hits The Afterparty from the top of Carter’s shoulders to get the pinfall.
Winner – Katana Chance & Kayden Carter
Johnny Gargano is backstage with his DIY teammate Tommaso Ciampa. They talk about their mystery partner and if they can trust him. Gargano assures him that they can do that now. Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci come in and ask them who is stupid enough to team up with them. They argue for a while.
Becky Calls Out Nia
Becky Lynch comes out to the ring. She says she and Nia are linked to each other for the last 5 years. We get a quick replay of Nia breaking her nose 5 years ago during the build-up for Survivor Series. Becky starts to compare the last five years of their career how Becky headlined WrestleMania, had a child and had memorable rivalries while Nia kept on injuring people and was fired from WWE. Nia Jax comes out.
Nia says she is right here in front of Becky and better than ever. Nia says that the punch that broke Becky’s nose was a lucky swing that almost ended her career and asks her to imagine if she punched her with her full force. Becky mentions how everyone who gets in the ring with her ends up getting hospitalized or suffering broken bones or almost got their careers ended.
Nia tells Becky that she has her to thank for her career. Lynch says this is the narrative she needs to change. She says if this was all just about her broken nose, people would have moved on from her after the blood dryed, but it was more about her. The arguement continue and Becky gets ready to fight. Nia refuses to engage and says Becky needs her more than she needs Becky. She throws the mic and goes back.
Jackie Redmond interviews Cody Rhodes in the back. Cody talks about how he and CM Punk can’t both finish their stories in 2024, as only one person can win the Royal Rumble and go on to WrestleMania 40 to challenge for the title. He brings up Stardust also debuted in this building tonight. He briefly talks about his main event match vs Shinsuke Nakamura.
Imperium(Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) vs DIY(Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) & The Miz
The Miz is the surprise tag team partner for DIY. Gargano and Vinci start the match, but Gargano asks Gunther to come in. Gunther then says he wants Miz, but he decks Gargano when he goes to tag. Gunther drops Gargano with a big chop. Kaiser tags in and hits a big uppercut. Vinci tags in and Gunther has to scream at Kaiser and Vinci to not argue. Gargano starts to fight back and Ciampa gets a blind tag. DIY duo double team to drop Vinci. Kaiser disturbs the ropes to send Ciampa out of the ring. Gunther tags in and runs over Ciampa with a big boot. We cut to a break.
Gunther is in control against Ciampa as we return. Ciampa fights back but Vinci hits a running crossbody on Ciampa. Ciampa skips past him and tags in Gargano. Gargano picks up the pace as he works against both Kaiser and Vinci which includes running tackles, double bulldogs and a slingshot spear on Kaiser. Vinci has to break the pin after the spear. Gargano kicks Vinci off the apron and tackles Kaiser again.
Tags to Gunther and Miz. Miz unloads with quick fire punches before a corner clothesline. An enzuigiri and a big boot from Miz before some “It” kicks. Gunther catches her leg, hits a big chop and puts on Boston crab. Ciampa breaks the submission with a running knee. Kaiser runs over Ciampa. Gargano and Miz fight Kaiser and Vinci. Miz then hits a dragon screw leg on Gunther before putting on figure four. Gargano stops Kaiser from breaking it and puts on GargaNo Escape. Gunther drags to tag in Vinci who breaks the submission. After the ring clears, Miz hits Vinci with Skull Crushing Finale to get the pinfall.
Winner – DIY & The Miz
Gunther is shouting at his teammates backstage. The Miz comes in. Gunther gives him another shot at Intercontinental Championship, but if Miz loses, he will never fight for the title ever again.
Cody Rhodes vs Shinsuke Nakamura
They lock up and Cody gets a side headlock takedown. Nakamura breaks up quickly. They lock up but Nakamura kicks at the leg before putting on an arm wringer. Cody pushes him to the ropes to break. Cody hits a dropkick before unloading with punches from the second rope. Nakamura trips him on the top rope and hits a running knee to the ribs. We cut to a break.
Nakamura is in control as we return from the break. Cody starts to fight back with punches. He creates some momentum before hitting his signature jabs. Cody goes for Cody cutter but Nakamura counters it with a kick. Nakamura sets up Cody on the ropes and hits a sliding German suplex. Nakamura goes for the Kinshasa but Cody hits a low dropkick to cut him off.
Cody works on the leg with more kicks. He hits a dragon screw leg on the ropes after Nakamura hits him with an enzuigiri. Cody puts on a single leg crab. Nakamura drags towards the ropes but Cody makes it difficult for him before Nakamura reaches the ropes ultimately. Nakamura rolls to the floor. Cody hits him with a suicide dive to take us to a break again.
They are fighting in the ring as we return again. Forearms traded before Cody hits a running forearm after ducking Nakamura. He hits a snap powerslam to get a two-count. Nakamura puts on a sleeper choke out of nowhere. Cody rolls over and gets to his feet with Nakamura on his back. Nakamura keeps the choke on, but Cody slams in his back. Cody hits a disaster kick. He hits signature jabs and a bionic elbow. He hits Cody cutter next. Nakamura blocks Crossrhodes and spits the Red Poison Mist. The referee calls for a disqualification.
Winner – Cody Rhodes
Nakamura attacks Cody with knee strikes. The referee tries to separate them. Cody swings with punches as the mist blinds him. Nakamura hits a kick to his knee. He brings in a chair. The Creed Brothers run out to force Nakamura to back away. Cody clears the mist with a towel while Nakamura goes to the stage. Cody wants to leave on his own. He gets to the ramp. Nakamura hits him with Kinshasa to close the show.
