WWE SmackDown will be live from Louisville, KY, for June 7, 2024, in the build-up for Clash at the Castle 2024 PLE. The event is expected to feature Cody Rhodes’ reaction on AJ Styles’ fake retirement and attack. Solo Sikoa is set to anoint Tonga Loa into the Bloodline.
Johnny Gargano is set to take on Grayson Waller in a singles match. Angel will face Apollo Crews while Jade Cargill has set up a match against Indi Hartwell. Check below for preview and match card for WWE SmackDown June 7, 2024.
How will Cody React to AJ’s Fake Retirement?
Everyone was able to see that AJ Styles was not actually retiring and was trying to pull a “Mark Henry”. Everyone except Cody Rhodes. Cody fell to AJ’s trap as he came to the ring to celebrate what was supposed to be AJ’s end of career. However, AJ suddenly dropped Cody with a lariat before going to beat him up and hit him with Styles Clash off the steel steps. Obviously, all this was done by AJ in search for a rematch against Cody which he was denied earlier by SmackDown Manager Nick Aldis. Will Cody give AJ a title shot directly after this?
Tonga Loa Gets Anointed into The Bloodline
In his short time on Smackdown, Tonga Loa has proven to be an important asset for the new Bloodline so far. He performed better than expected in the tag team match last week where Guerrillas of Destiny defeated The Street Profits. Solo Sikoa will now anoint Loa into the Bloodline. What will this segment lead to?
Singles Matches
After Tommaso Ciampa defeated Austin Theory last week, Grayson Waller will try to get a win back for his team as he faces Johnny Gargano. Ciampa and Gargano are looking towards a tag title shot in future. Will they be able to carry on with the momentum here though?
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair made a short work of Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell at King & Queen of the Ring event. Indi, however, accused Bianca of injuring Candice during the match. This landed her in hot waters with Jade Cargill whom she will face in a singles match.
Angel’s attempt to help Andrade last week bore fruits as Andrade was able to beat Apollo Crews. Crews will try to get back at Angel as they also clash this week.
